Chapter 271: Supporting the Western Plan
The existence of the Pure Land has threatened the cycle of heaven and earth.
Therefore, the way of heaven needs someone to appear, establish the underworld in the netherworld, wipe out all the pure lands, and establish a new order. This allows the ghost to enter the six paths of reincarnation and complete the cycle of life and death.
The City God system established by Ao Bing undoubtedly perfectly fits this destiny.
So, when he appeared in the Nether World, he immediately received this destiny, and was once again entrusted by Heaven with the important task of establishing the Yin Division in the Nether World.
"No wonder Buddhism and Taoism will flourish in later generations. It turns out that he inherited the destiny of the underworld."
Suddenly, Ao Bing had an enlightenment and knew the reason for Buddhism and Taoism in the next kalpa. All the orthodox traditions in the prehistoric times need a reason to thrive, which cannot be explained by a sentence of favoritism.
The reason why Immortal Taoism flourished was because Taozu preached to the world. If Buddhism and Taoism have no contribution, how can it flourish?
Besides, how can Heaven favor a certain orthodoxy without any reason?
Even if the Second Sage of the West owes a debt to Heaven, it will be the same. It is impossible to open the door to them and give them all the benefits in order to let them realize their ambitions.
If this is the case, how can Heaven still be called the Supreme Being? The best way of heaven is to provide the West with some conveniences, but whether it can prosper depends on them themselves.
Otherwise, just by making great wishes, you can get the favor of Heaven and open the door for convenience. Not one of the monks in the ancient world has made great wishes.
The reason why Buddhism and Taoism can flourish is not because of the favoritism of Heaven, but because they have fulfilled their destiny.
Set up the underworld in the netherworld and construct eighteen layers of hell, so that ghosts have a place to go and no longer stay in the pure land of the netherworld.
After the establishment of the underworld, there will be order in the underworld and there will no longer be chaos. As a result, the living soil of the pure land will be greatly reduced, and it will continue to decline until it is destroyed.
After a living being dies, its soul will be taken to the underworld by ghost messengers, and their destination will be determined based on their good and evil deeds and merit during their lifetime.
Those with great merit can become gods immediately and no longer need to suffer the pain of reincarnation. Those who do good deeds will join a wealthy family in their next life, and may become princes or generals.
Those who are neither good nor evil will continue to be reborn as ordinary people in their next life and work hard all their lives.
Those who do evil will first go to the eighteen levels of hell to be tortured. After the torture is over, they will be thrown into the animal realm and spend their next lives as cows and horses.
Of course, this is the complete underworld, the product of the merger of immortality and Buddhism.
The underworld originally established by Buddhism and Taoism was definitely not like this. Many things were just prototypes, or were not shown at all.
But no matter what, the underworld established by Buddhism and Taoism must be in line with the destiny of heaven, promote the great cycle of heaven and earth, and make great contributions to the prehistoric times.
Coupled with the impoverishment of the West, Heaven already had the intention of supporting the West, so it was the destiny of the West to prosper in the next calamity.
It can be said that if Buddhism and Taoism had not established an underworld in the netherworld and proposed the concept of eighteen levels of hell, the West would have flourished, but I don’t know how long it would have been.
Even if the West will prosper, it may not have anything to do with Buddhism.
Don’t forget that in the West there is not only the Buddhist path, but also the demonic path. Buddhism can bring great prosperity to the West, and so can the devil.
“Does this mean I have cut off the opportunity of Western Buddhism?”
After coming back to his senses, Ao Bing couldn’t help but laugh. Now that he has come to the underworld and established the City God system, which is a subordinate institution of the underworld, naturally this underworld has no connection with Western Buddhism and can only be established by him.
Furthermore, because he has the memory of future generations, the netherworld he established must be extremely perfect and will not give Buddhism a chance to further improve it.
In other words, the establishment of the underworld and the eighteen levels of hell have nothing to do with Buddhism. In the future, if the West wants to prosper, it will have to find another opportunity.
However, Ao Bing always felt that something was wrong. Heaven does not care whether Buddhism can flourish, but Heaven does care whether the West can flourish.
In order to restore the West, Heaven allowed two saints to be born in the West even when the ancestral lineage of the West was destroyed. From this we can see how much Heaven values the West.
In this case, Ao Bing took away the opportunity of Buddhism. That’s okay, Heaven will not care. But if he takes away the opportunity to make the West prosperous, Heavenly Dao will definitely cause trouble for him.
I don’t know what it will do to him, but it will probably make him contribute to the revival of the West.
“Today I have taken away the opportunity for the future of Buddhism and ruined the opportunity for the great resurgence of the West. In the future, if the West cannot be revived because of this, the way of heaven will definitely come to find trouble for me.”
"If you think about it this way, the matter of opening up the trade routes between the East and the West must be accelerated."
"Only by opening up the trade routes between the two sides can the monks from the East go to the West to support the construction of the West and make part of their contribution to its revival. Power.”
After thinking about it, Ao Bing had an idea in his mind. He is not afraid of revenge from Buddhism. For things like merit, whoever does it first will be his. If Buddhism is a step behind him, he can only blame himself for his incompetence. Why should he blame him?
Besides, even if Buddhism and Taoism really want to blame him, so what? He has the backing of immortality. Even if he is deprived of the opportunity of Buddhism, it will be nothing. He has no fear of Buddhism at all.
Ao Bing was afraid of only the way of heaven from beginning to end. However, Heaven only cares about whether the West can prosper, not who leads it.
He only looks at the results, not the process. As long as the result is good, then it's fine. It doesn't have to be a Western saint to lead the Western Renaissance. The same goes for outsiders.
In this case, Ao Bing just needs to satisfy Tiandao.
Isn’t it just to make the West prosper? There are many ways. There just happen to be too many monks in the East. Send some of them to the West to build, or sort out the earth’s veins, or evolve the cave heaven and paradise, or turn into stars...
< br>In short, because of the existence of the Earth Immortal lineage, there is no shortage of derived spiritual veins in the prehistoric era to create the method of creating a cave heaven and a blessed earth.
Let Eastern monks go to the West to practice the Earth Immortal lineage. Firstly, it can relieve the pressure in the East, and secondly, it can promote the development of the West. It can be said to be the best of both worlds.
As for whether the Eastern monks are willing to go, they are definitely willing to go.
After all, going to the West to derive earth veins, create a blessed land, and evolve stars... starting from the root and improving the practice environment in the West is not free, and there are merits to be gained.
Although there are merits to be gained by doing this in the East, it is not as much as in the West.
The Eastern cultivation environment is favorable and the resources are sufficient. Even if you derive the earth line, you will not gain much merit because the effect is too small.
But the west is barren, and with every additional earth vein, the surrounding environment will undergo changes visible to the naked eye, benefiting countless living beings. Therefore, the merit gained by deriving earth lines in the West is far greater than that in the East.
This alone is enough for many immortals to run to support the West. After all, no one finds merit hot. As for why no one supported the West before and turned a blind eye to this benefit, it's not that they didn't see it, but that it was unnecessary.
Although the East was wealthy before, it was only compared to the West, and because there were too many monks, the resources were not as rich as rumored, and it was also very tight.
Therefore, the benefits derived from deriving earth veins in the East and deriving earth veins in the west are almost the same.
Since the gap is not big, there is no need for the monks in the East to give up the good environment and go to the barren West to eat dirt.
But this was before, and the change occurred after the starry sky was restored. As the starry sky recovers, although both the East and the West are getting better, the East, where the ancestral lineage is still there, is undoubtedly getting better much faster than the West.
The gap between the two sides, instead of getting smaller because of the restoration of the starry sky, actually got bigger and bigger, running towards the difference between immortality and mortals.
In addition, not long after the starry sky was restored, the prehistoric ancestral line was also revived due to Ao Bing, as well as the birth of the Immortal River and the reappearance of Tongtianze, all of which made the cultivation environment in the East more and more popular. good.
As a result, the East has increasingly higher requirements for improving the practice environment.
In the past, by deriving one earth vein and spiritual vein, you could gain a lot of merit, but now, you have to derive three or four to get the same merit as the previous one.
And this gap is not fixed, but is still expanding as the practice environment in the East becomes better and better.
In the past, if you put in one effort, you will get merit, but now you have to put in three or four efforts, and in the future you will even have to put in ten percent. If the difficulty suddenly increases so much, it is natural that some monks will not be able to accept it.
It's okay for monks with a background, and they don't have to earn this merit, but for monks without a background, it will be miserable. Without this merit, they have no hope of breaking through to a higher realm.
What is even more exaggerated is that as the practice environment improves, there will only be more and more monks without background in the future, not less and less.
As long as there are too many people in any industry, involution will occur. If you don't do it, others will.
Under high-intensity involution, some people will definitely not be able to bear it and will look for another way out. At this time, going to support the West has undoubtedly become the best choice.
Although the West is barren, it is not involuted, and it is easier to obtain merit than the East. In the face of merit, poverty is nothing.
If the cultivation environment is bad, it will be bad, as long as the merits are given more. As for monks, they just put their heads in their belts and risk their lives to make money. As long as the benefits are big enough, I dare to take any risks.
This is how Ao Bing came up with reference to later generations to strengthen the West. Who stipulated that those who want the West to prosper must be Westerners? Orientals can do the same.
We are all part of the ancient world. There is no need to distinguish them so clearly. Both the East and the West are the same. Buddhism can bring great prosperity to the West, and the same goes for immortality.
From the beginning, Ao Bing felt that the ideas of the strong men in the East were too conservative. There was no need to block the West, let alone guard it.
We must show the mind of a strong man, the demeanor of a powerful force, and the responsibilities that a descendant of Pangu should have. How can we remain indifferent when we see the barrenness of the West?
We must have the courage to take responsibility and take the initiative to help the West grow. After all, the West was also transformed by the great god Pangu, and it is also owned by their descendants.
As for the process of helping the West, the West was gradually assimilated by the East and became a vassal of the East. This is because the Western people are more enthusiastic and welcome the descendants of Pangu, the savior.
The Two Saints of the West should also be happy about this. After all, the West is their birthplace. Seeing that their birthplace is getting better and better, even if it is out of their control, they should not be happy.
Not to mention, the great prosperity of the West was their dream, but the Eastern monks took the initiative to help them achieve this and stabilize their holy status.
This favor is simply too great. The Second Saint from the West not only welcomed the Eastern monks warmly, but also entertained them warmly, leaving them moved to tears.
Even if their orthodoxy was severely damaged or even destroyed by the Eastern monks, it would be nothing compared to the great prosperity of the West.
After all, the West is not only the base camp of Western religion, but also the base camp of the devil. While governing the West and exterminating the remnants of the demonic path, it is inevitable that fellow Taoists from the Western religion will be accidentally injured.
Who makes the two sects too similar, especially the demonic monks who like to pretend to be disciples of the Western sect?
They may not be able to tell the difference themselves, let alone the Eastern monks who have come from afar. It is really normal for them to be unable to tell the difference between accidental injuries.
"Just do this, as long as the West can prosper, then it will be regarded as an account of the way of heaven, and there is no need to worry about Him settling accounts in the future."
"And if the West can really prosper because of this, then what will happen to me? It's a great thing to say, and it can be gained immeasurably Merit. And the most important thing is that if this method is successful, the West will inevitably become a vassal of the East, or even a part of it.
"In this way, the foundation of the Western religion will be lost, and the foundation of the two sages of the West will be lost. As a result, our strength will definitely plummet, and the threat to me will be greatly reduced. "
"At the same time, they will also owe me a big cause and effect, and they will not dare to take action against me. ”
"As for the East, it is also a great achievement to solve the serious problem of the West in one fell swoop. It can bring me many benefits and become the supreme immortal."
Ao Bing repeated the deduction several times and felt that he The plan is indeed feasible.
It’s hard to say whether he can do it, but as long as he can do it, it will definitely bring him huge benefits. In this case, there is no reason why he should not do it.
Anyway, it doesn’t take much effort to implement this plan, just follow the trend. After all, what Ao Bing thinks is the development trend of the times.
Even if he does not take the initiative to propose this plan, with the development of the times in the future, those Eastern monks who have no way out will take the initiative to go to the West to strive for a future.
The result is this. Whether he does it or not, a large number of Eastern monks will flock to the West to develop this place in the future.
The difference between the two is that if this matter is guided by Ao Bing, then once the West is revived, he will be able to gain immeasurable merit and many benefits.
On the contrary, if this matter was spontaneously formed by Eastern monks, then no matter how great the benefits would be after the revival of the West, it would have nothing to do with Ao Bing.
With just a little guidance, you can expect to gain immeasurable merits. This is a sure profit. Even if you devote some energy to this, it is worth it. Ao Bing has no reason to refuse.
Furthermore, despite his many plans, they all sound powerful, but whether they can be accomplished in the end remains to be seen.
It is precisely for this reason that we need to make multiple bets and prepare more paths. In this way, as long as we can become one, the future will be worrying.
This is what the strong men of the prehistoric times did.
Happy Mid-Autumn Festival to everyone!
Also, remember to check the mooncakes when you eat them. Damn it, my stomach feels uncomfortable not long after eating them.
