Chapter 53 Remarks on the launch
It will be released at midnight on Saturday, and the chapter will be moved to Friday afternoon.
There will be launch activities and rewards at Qidian. I don’t know the details.
Updates after the release will definitely be faster than before the release. There was a period of time before it was put on the shelves. I paid 1,500 for two chapters a day, or 3,000 for a single chapter. It was still a bit short and not suitable for reading.
It will definitely not be that short after it is released.
It is guaranteed that there will be 10,000 words of updates in the two days before it is put on the shelves, and we will see the situation in the next few days.
Many readers, including me in the past, have a misunderstanding: novels are typed by the author typing on the keyboard in front of the computer.
This perception is not entirely wrong. But in fact, the author is not a coder. The novel is made up by the author in his mind, and then the author types out what he made up in his mind.
——[Bottlenecks encountered in writing]——
This book was quite tiring to write.
Crazy crazy kavin.
The main thing is that there are almost no books on the same subject with good results (at least those who have been to Sanjiang) to learn from.
(The kind of book whose early results are very average and only started after writing a million words has no learning significance for me. I can't scan a million words for each book on the list, and I won't be able to write it myself.)
To be honest, I had no intention of looking for the theme of fairy tales at first. What I wanted to write was mythology.
——So in this book, especially in the early stage, the language style in many places still retains the flavor of God’s literature.
In the end, I found that all the mythological directions that could be written have been written by others, and it would be boring to write about them again. Some myths are too niche and not suitable for use as backgrounds.
I finally chose this subject, which is now almost blank.
When I actually started writing, I realized that this blank subject matter highlighted a point that no one could refer to.
You have no idea where to go!
One of the big reasons why novels have themes is that a specific theme basically has ready-made routines, ready-made core plots, ready-made plot templates, ready-made development ideas, which can be directly used for reference.
This includes readers. Readers have read many books on the same subject, so they will have natural expectations for what will happen next, rather than being confused.
For example, in fairy tales, readers know that there must be sects and secret realms, and the level of cultivation is very important. They will expect the protagonist to upgrade and receive rewards such as magic weapons, elixirs, talismans, spiritual stones, and immortal pets.
For example, in the Fourth Natural Disaster, the common core themes are "the collision of players' thinking and the natives of another world" and "players' shock at the high-fidelity game." The expectations for upgrades and treasure hunting are relatively less important.
To be more detailed, for example, in "Lu Mingfei Returns from XX", readers will immediately know that Lu Mingfei will definitely use the abilities obtained in XX to rise up and change the life of a loser.
There is no way, lack of suitable direction, I can only explore slowly by myself.
Some inspirations are good, and the feedback after writing is also good, but after writing once, if you continue to repeat similar plots, it will make people aesthetically tired.
For example, in "Sleeping Beauty", the protagonist can be the magician who gives blessings, making the direction and intention of the blessings more positive.
However, the original story development and ending of most fairy tales are already complete, and it is difficult to find an equally suitable and convincing entry point for the protagonist.
There have also been many attempts that were found to be ineffective and slightly off track. So far, there have been about a dozen attempts, including some that were corrected when the book was officially released.
If you had read the first draft of my book that I sent to the editor, you would be surprised, "Huh?" "Was the protagonist's previous golden finger so strange? There is also a panel that is incomprehensible!"
——[Example to try]——
For example: I said that I wanted to write about mythology at the beginning, so I also tried to imitate the book "The Spiritual Dominator of Greek Mythology".
One of the core themes of this book is to transfer elements of various earthly entertainment works to the mythical world. What a magic net, what a god ascending sequence, what nine hells. This selling point is similar to the flow of two realms, the fourth natural disaster, etc., the collision of earth elements and the original normality of other worlds.
"The collision of earth elements and other worlds", I also tried it in this book, which is the plot of "Rhein drafts a three-stage honorific name for himself".
This is completely the plot set in the initial outline.
In the end I didn't feel the effect was very good. It may be related to the title introduction——
This title introduction has already screened the readers and preset some expectations, which essentially limits the possible directions of this book! Readers who come here for this title introduction do not mainly want to read this.
Later, I thought that there could be a little bit of modern earth-related elements, but not too much.
Moreover, it must also fit in with the style of the story and not appear inconsistent.
——This is different from the books I gave examples. In those books that use collision as a selling point, the more different the painting styles are, the more attractive they will be when they collide.
In addition, this kind of collision can also emphasize the collision of ideas: that is, the ideas of modern earth people and the ideas of the original fairy tale characters.
For example, the original fairy tale, due to the specific historical background, will not consider "making Sleeping Beauty a warrior", "whether the soldiers in the tinderbox went too far", "ordinary mermaids except the mermaid princess may obtain immortality" "Soul" and other questions, but the intervention of the protagonist can introduce more possibilities.
【Future updates】
When writing this book, I often write 7,000 or 8,000 words a day when I am inspired, but when I am not inspired, I cannot hold back a single word for the whole day.
Of course, when the new book issue is actually updated, this 7,000 should be cut down to two or three days. After all, you can't stop updating, you can't take two days off and take one day off.
Although I don’t make a living by writing books, I will spend more time on this book every day after it is put on the shelf.
Write as much as possible.
Ten thousand words will be updated on the day it is released on Saturday.
Will update as quickly as possible in the first week of release
At that time, there will be a launch event at Qidian.
Subscribe and get rewards!
The cover image of that event is pretty cool.
…[Blessings]…
I hope I can write better and better!
Well, overall I am quite confident about the final climax and ending of "The Daughter of the Sea".
……………………
I've had terrible insomnia in the past few days, so I went to catch up on my sleep.
【Sacrifice link on the shelves】
It’s time to put the offerings on the shelves again.
The introduction is too long, so I’ll write a separate chapter for the book list.
