Chapter 1951 On the Extensibility of Buddhism

Chapter 1951 On the Extensibility of Buddhism

How dare Fang Xiuzhu let him go to his father and tell him about this?

It's so embarrassing...

She didn't dare to stop her second brother, so she shook her mother's arm and begged: "Mom, please stop him quickly. It's nothing. What are you talking about? My father will definitely punish me."
< br>

Mrs. Lu couldn't stand her little daughter's coquettishness the most, and it was true, so she shouted to Fang Jun: "Erlang, come back!"

Fang Jun had to stop and said with a wry smile: "How can mother pamper my little sister like this? This matter is really important. The King of Shu has always been naughty and willful, which has made His Majesty angry more than once or twice. A good-for-nothing. If my little sister follows this kind of person, won’t she be punished for the rest of her life?”

"What do you know? Although the King of Shu is a prince, he is eight streets away from the prince's position. There is no way to reach him. The best way to get a good result is to be hopeless. He is really as talented as King Wu. , do you think it’s a good thing? My son, the less promising you are, the longer you will live. All you have to do is enjoy your glory and wealth. If you have to be ambitious and courageous, aren't you asking for trouble? In my opinion, Your Highness, King of Shu, is fine." br>

Listening to his mother's plausive words, Fang Jun was dumbfounded and speechless for a moment.

It makes sense...

It's no wonder that my mother is a bit "snobbish". Zheng Kunchang's grandson himself mentioned it. In the past, my mother had no objections because she believed in his vision. However, now that she is compared with the King of Shu, my mother is obviously leaning towards him. to the latter.

Also, one is an official who entered the official career by virtue of his craftsmanship, and the other is a dignified prince. How can they be compared?

Anyone must choose the King of Shu...

However, as a time traveler, he was confident that he could change the life trajectories of Li Chengqian and Li Ke, but he was not sure that he could lead the extremely naughty Li Min to the right path, to be a prince peacefully, to be a wealthy and idle king for a lifetime, and to die in peace in the end.

That kid is so good at seeking death...

But his mother wouldn't let him mention the matter in front of his father, so he didn't dare to go. He just secretly made up his mind that no matter what, he had to let the King of Shu give up the idea.

Unhappily, he sat back across from his mother. When he saw his little sister secretly glancing at him with her bright eyes blinking, he glared at her, making her tremble in fright. She shrank her neck and hid behind her mother...

Mrs. Lu glared and said angrily: "You are really capable of scaring your own sister!"

Fang Jun didn't answer, looked at his sister and asked: "Tell me, second brother, are you the scum king of Shu in the truth?"

Fang Xiuzhu hid behind her mother, stretched out her head, frowned and said displeasedly: "How can you ask someone like this? There is no such thing as discord. We just played together when we were young and we are familiar with each other. We met today." Just said a few words , it’s so annoying that you’re making a fuss out of a molehill! And don’t be a scumbag. Although the King of Shu is not a well-behaved prince, he has no bad deeds.”
< br>

Fang Jun snorted and didn't bother to pay attention to her.

No bad deeds?

Haha, just wait and see, that bastard has a death wish and can make a flower for you in the future...

……

There was heavy snowfall in the past few days, and everything in Chang'an City has still melted, but there is still a lot of snow in the Zhongnan Mountains where ravines and ravines intersect with the mountains. The sun rises above the head, shining brightly on the snow on the mountain ridges. The dense trees on the ridges seem to be a little less cold in winter and a little more warm.

In front of the temple, there are several tall and tall pines, which are full of momentum.

The sandalwood incense was lingering in the main hall. By the time Fang Xuanling and his family entered, the monks in the temple had already invited the rest of the people out of the hall. The pilgrims were complaining a lot, questioning whether "in front of the Buddha, one can distinguish between high and low", but after the monk politely informed him that it was Zuopushe, the minister who had become an official, and Fang Xuanling, the Duke of Liang, and their families. When the pilgrims came to offer incense, they shut up and honestly let the hall out.

Although this powerful official of the Tang Dynasty, who was "less than one person and more than ten thousand people", has become an official, his power is still there. Who in the ordinary people would dare to shout about "all living beings are equal" in front of him? On the other hand, Fang Xuanling was honest throughout his life, upright in dealing with things, and had a good official reputation. He was deeply loved by the people. When they heard that it was him who brought his family members to offer incense and pray for blessings, they were all willing to make it easier...

The Fang family, led by Fang Xuanling and his wife, entered the Main Hall, knelt on the futon, burned incense and prayed.

Fang Yizhi and his wife, Fang Jun, Princess Gaoyang, Wu Meiniang, and brothers and sisters Fang Yize, Fang Yiyi, and Fang Xiuzhu were all present, except for the eldest sister, Princess Han.

But not long ago, the imperial doctor diagnosed that Princess Han was several months pregnant...

When Fang Jun returned to Guanzhong and learned of the incident, he strongly expressed that the child should not be kept. The scene when the eldest sister, Princess Han, had a difficult childbirth, is still vivid in her mind. If she has another child this time, it may be very dangerous.

However, in this era when heirs are the first, his suggestion was suppressed by the group. Even Lu, a mother, did not agree with Fang Jun's suggestion to abort the child...

Apart from his deep worries, Fang Jun could only pray to God and Buddha to bless his eldest sister.

Therefore, this time was different from the past. Fang Jun was extremely sincere when he offered incense. He had to be sincere regardless of whether the Buddha or others were busy or could not hear his prayers.

It is better to believe that it exists than to believe that it does not exist...

After offering incense and praying, Fang Jun raised his head and looked at the scene in the Main Hall.

Directly in front of the statue stands a majestic sandalwood Buddha statue eight feet high. The left hand of the Buddha hangs down, with the "giving seal" in the middle, which means that it can fulfill the wishes of all living beings. The right hand is bent and stretched upward, with the "giving fearless seal", which means that it can eliminate the suffering of all living beings. . On both sides of it, there are several old monks wearing cassocks with low eyebrows, knocking wooden fish and muttering something in their mouths.

Fang Jun saw the leader of the Three Virtues Master, and even saw the long burning lamp in the shape of lotus petals on the long incense table next to him.

That is his natal lamp...

"The roots of the little benefactor's mountain are towering, and the hall is bright. The small calamity in the past has been eliminated. In the future, the blessings will be profound and precious. I only hope that you can achieve great freedom by keeping your heart and your body upright. Don't If you are impatient and eager for quick success, otherwise you will risk your life and become a devil, and you will never recover. That’s good, that’s good.”

An old voice sounded in his ears, waking up Fang Jun who was in a daze.

Looking sideways, it was the Master of Three Virtues who was smiling at him with his hands folded. These two words just now were meant for him.

With a happy face, Mrs. Lu pushed Fang Jun and said, "Why don't you quickly thank the master for your advice? There are many princes and nobles in this level who want the master's advice but can't get it. You are so lucky, but you are stupidly distracted." , what a coward! ”

Fang Jun hurriedly knelt on the futon and returned the gift, saying: "Thank you, Master, for your guidance..."

When he straightened up, he asked again: "Junior has a question to ask, Master. You said that only by keeping your true heart can you gain great freedom, let alone sacrifice your life to become a demon and never recover. But I don't know what this 'heart' refers to. Where else to find it? ”

"So, Subhuti, the past mind cannot be obtained, the present mind cannot be obtained, and the future mind cannot be obtained. The so-called emptiness of dependent origin, emptiness of dependent origin, don't be attached to where the mind is, the mind is also caused by causes and conditions, and has no self-nature. It has no self-nature. It is the birth and death of a moment, and there is no birth or death. The mind is in the previous moment and the next moment, maybe five hundred years ago, or maybe five hundred years later..."

The old monk's white eyebrows raised, and an enigmatic smile appeared on his kind face, and he said slowly: "Only you know where your own heart is. How can others know what your heart was at the last moment and what it is like at the next moment? Heart? How do you know your heart five hundred years ago or your heart five hundred years from now?"

To others, these words are a bit incomprehensible and "unclear", but to Fang Jun, who has never really been involved in Buddhism, they are very clear.

What is "past mind, present mind, future mind?"

People's hearts are fickle. With the change of time and space, the mind at one moment will be completely different at the next moment. The thoughts at the last moment may be completely different at the next moment. What's more, if the thoughts and understandings from five hundred years ago are completely different, How could it be the same as five hundred years later?

Only you understand this "heart" and only you can find it.

To Fang Jun, this statement seemed to have another interpretation: How could I, an old monk from five hundred years ago, find your heart from five hundred years later?

It can even be understood this way: How can I, an old monk five hundred years ago, understand your heart five hundred years later? Your heart is already beyond my understanding. As long as you can find your own heart and think it is correct, then just stick to it. Don't lose sight of your original heart and go astray because of your eagerness for quick success.

Cold sweat seeped down the back of my spine...

Until he left Qingyuan Temple, the old monk's eyes, which seemed to be able to see through everything in the world, and his words still made Fang Jun feel like he was in the clouds.

Because he thought about it over and over, it seemed that these words were blocked by both sides. Regardless of whether you were a prince, general or a trafficker, you seemed to be able to find your own position. What was especially hateful was that you expanded these words, don't care. No matter how you understand it, it seems to make sense...

Mother!

Is this a wise man with boundless wisdom, or a charlatan? (End of chapter)
