Remarks after finishing the book (1)
I finally finished another book. I should have written this review earlier, but I was not feeling well and was lying in bed two days ago (plus I was lazy).
I basically finished writing all the ideas I had in my mind. The only one I originally planned to write but later deleted was "Alice in Wonderland." The main reason is that the original work is too bizarre and full of logical traps, like a bizarre and absurd dream, and I have no idea how to change it.
The results are not bad. The actual first order was more than 6,000 (I am looking at the first order of the second chapter on the shelves. The first chapter was released because Qidian was holding a lottery at that time. You can get a lottery by ordering one chapter. The subscription number is artificially high. The second chapter is normal. That first ten thousand That’s how the badge came about). When I wrote almost 140 chapters, the average subscription rose to 9,000. Later, the smart push disappeared, and the average subscription dropped back a bit. If I were a full-time author, I would definitely extend it a little longer, but anyway, I don’t rely on writing books for a living. The inventory in my mind has been exhausted, and the main plot has also ended, so there is no need to force a continuation. Originally, I was also an idea writer.
Let’s talk about the stumbling blocks in writing this book.
The subject matter of this book is relatively new, but it didn’t come out of my head.
Before starting the book, I listed a dozen ideas that I personally thought were promising, and selected seven or eight of them for the editor to see.
These seven or eight ideas cover several different themes, including those about cultivating immortals through imagination, and some about the special two-world flow.
My editor Lu Naruto was also very nice and provided comments and suggestions on these ideas.
Finally, combining the editor's feedback and my personal thoughts, I finally decided to write this book "The Magician in Fairy Tale World".
The book title looks very conventional, without any big gimmicks. I set it after studying the starting point for a while and absorbing the book titles. It is a two-element template that quickly displays the book content:
[Protagonist’s environment/story background/story theme] + [Protagonist’s traits/special points/occupation/golden fingers]
Because the subject matter is very novel, after it was put on the shelves, Qidian and Tomato also published books that were more popular about writing fairy tales. At one time, some people thought that I had captured the traffic password.
But after I actually wrote it, I discovered many problems.
Let’s talk about the conclusion first:
[I think fairy tales are a trap genre. 】
It can only be said that there is a reason why few people have written scores in the past.
Of course, this subject matter can still be written, but my current set of ideas has a lot of room for improvement.
As for why I say this theme is a trap and what problems it actually has, let me break it down in "Complete Remarks (Part 2)". (End of chapter)
