Chapter 186 Interlude

Chapter 186 Interlude

evening.

Jiang Miao received a reminder from the nurse that Shuya had regained consciousness.

He quickly entered the delivery room.

Shuya was lying on the bed. The bed of the same model as the hospital was shaken up so that she could half lie down and half sit. Her daughter had been taken out by the nurse.

"Aya! How do you feel?" Jiang Miao held her hand and gently lifted the ends of her hair. Although she had given birth, her face was still pale due to the specialized nutrition and regular exercise. Ruddy and shiny.

"I'm fine." Shuya smiled and shook her head slightly.

"Drink some nutritious soup!"

"Yeah!" Shuya nodded.

Nurse Bai had already carried the child outside, leaving space for the couple.

He poured out half a bowl of specially prepared nutritious soup from the thermos pot. He wanted to feed it with a spoon, but Shuya took the spoon and said, "I'm just a little tired, but it's not like I can't hold a spoon."

"Okay! Thank you for your hard work."

"It's okay!"

Since 2000, the proportion of caesarean sections has increased significantly during the delivery process of pregnant women in China. The main reason is that modern nutrition is too abundant, causing the children to grow too big in the belly, making it difficult for safe natural delivery. In order to reduce risks, hospitals can only Pregnant women are advised to have a caesarean section.

On the other hand, modern women's physical work or exercise has declined significantly, which indirectly leads to insufficient physical fitness and the inability of the muscles to squeeze the child out of the abdominal cavity.

Jiang Miao specifically controlled Shuya's diet to prevent the child from being overweight. Coupled with Shuya's long-term physical activity, this natural delivery was so smooth.

Originally, he planned to send Shuya to the hospital for delivery on October 5th, but the appointment was made for October 10th.

Unexpectedly, the amniotic water broke early, so I had to try to give birth at home.

Fortunately, everything went smoothly.

After drinking half a bowl of nutritious soup, Shuya wiped her mouth: "Amiao, I plan to take a break for a year or two before having a second child."

"It doesn't matter, we are still young, take your time." Jiang Miao didn't care about this.

After all, they are only 28 years old. One or two years is not a big deal. As long as they are not over 35 years old, the risk to pregnant women and children is not great, especially in the case of a second child.

Shuya leaned on his shoulder, closed her eyes and said, "I plan to start preliminary experiments on the two projects you gave me last time in half a month."

"Don't worry, take another month or two of rest!"

"No, I don't think there's anything wrong with my health. I haven't done research work for more than half a year, and my whole body feels like it's getting rusty. I have nothing to do, and I feel too bored." Shuya refused without hesitation.

"Then I will accompany you for ten days. I plan to go to the Monan branch on the 10th."

Shuya continued to close her eyes and meditate: "I know, but you have to pay attention to safety when you go out. After all, things are different now. Many people are staring at you."

"Don't worry! I never take risks."

"Bring Xiaoxuan over here, I haven't taken a good look at the child yet."

"Okay!"

After a while, Jiang Miao asked nurse Bai Fang to bring her daughter in.

Shuya held her daughter in her arms, her face full of maternal love. Her daughter, who was holding her thumb in her mouth, suddenly burst into tears when she hugged her.

"Ahhhhh..."

"Huh?" Shuya's brain suddenly shut down.

Bai Fang quickly reminded: "Madam, shake it gently..."

In the rush, Shuya finally calmed down her troubled daughter.

Jiang Miao has already prepared a name for her daughter in advance. She is called Jiang Lingxuan, which means a smart and healthy girl.

He stayed with Shuya and her daughter at home for ten days.

It is indeed not an easy task to take care of a child. If it were not for the two nurses, two nannies, and my mother who have been helping, the couple would not have to rest.

October 10th.

Shuya has recovered a lot through rehabilitation training, and no longer plans to stay idle at home. She plans to return to research work. However, she still takes time out every day to breastfeed her daughter. As a biological researcher, she is very aware of the impact of breast milk on children. importance.

Compared with milk powder, in addition to being more nutritionally suitable for human babies, breast milk also has a very important benefit, that is, breast milk contains the mother's natural antibodies, which can help the child quickly build immunity to the surrounding environment.

Especially after Shuya specially ate the nutritious meal prepared by Jiang Miao, all physical indicators were extremely good, her immunity was also very strong, and the quality of her breast milk was very good.

On the same day, Jiang Miao said goodbye to her family and secretly took the high-speed train northward.

However, this time going north, Jiang Miao did not take the previous Yangcheng-Jiangcheng-Beijing route, nor the Gannan-Jinling-Beijing route, but took a brand new route: the coastal route.

Don't choose the same route every time you travel, just to avoid being figured out by others.

The high-speed train he took started from Shantou and Meizhou, passed through the Chaoshan area, entered Fuzhou and Zhejiang provinces, then got off at Modu, and then rented a car to go to Chenjia Town on Chongming Island.

In the Yu'an Reclamation Area of Chenjia Town.

Jiang Miao met Huang Huobing, the director of Yu'an Farm who was dispatched from the headquarters last month.

"Boss, welcome to Yu'an Farm for inspection." Huang Huobing and several other farm managers clapped quickly.

"Okay, show me the farm!"

"Yes, boss, please come with me." Huang Huobing led the way.

The area of this Yu'an farm is not large, only 2,500 acres. The reason why it is not expanded is mainly because the local cultivated land area is limited. This was obtained through communicating with the town government and using the cultivated land index of Monan Zherim City for adjustment. These 2,500 acres of wheat fields.

Considering that strawberries cannot withstand transportation, the planting division plans to transform all 2,500 acres of wheat fields into strawberry greenhouses.

Next, we will continue to increase the strawberry planting area in Chongming Island until the area expands to about 10,000 acres.

As for ginseng fruit and tomatoes, the planting division did not choose to open a new planting base in the Yangtze River Delta region. Instead, it planned to open up corresponding planting areas along the Yangtze River in northern Jiangxi and transport them to the Yangtze River Delta region by road.

Jiang Miao inspected Yu'an Farm.

After that, we went to Xinzheng Village on the northeast coast of Chongming Island for inspection.

Near the Chongming Solid Waste Disposal and Comprehensive Utilization Center, Jiang Miao saw a large area of saline-alkali tidal flats. It is difficult to grow soybeans here because the seawater will cover these tidal flats during high tide.

Unless it is reclaimed as a saltwater fish farm or reclaimed from the sea, it will be difficult to utilize.

Jiang Miao naturally came here with a purpose when he inspected this place.

He plans to build a marine aquaculture farm in this area in the future, but it will not be used to cultivate fish, but to cultivate spirulina.

Why cultivate spirulina?

The answer is not to eat.

But to store energy.

Chongming Island is located at the estuary of the Yangtze River. The river water flowing down from the upper reaches is rich in various nutrients and pollutants. Therefore, the water source near the estuary is not suitable for breeding edible aquatic products.

Jiang Miao plans to use this eutrophic, pollutant-containing estuary as a breeding water for Spirulina.

The benefits of doing this are many.

On the one hand, through the enrichment effect of spirulina, excessive nutrients and pollutants in the water body can be absorbed, thereby achieving the effect of purifying the water body.

At the same time, the spirulina cultivation wastewater can also be used as a water body for Suaeda salsa cultivation. Through breeding, the ability of Suaeda salsa to enrich salt is improved, thereby achieving the effect of seawater desalination.

Of course, this technology is not of great significance to the Yangtze River Delta region. After all, there is no shortage of fresh water in this place.

However, Suaeda can be grown in the northern coastal areas, and is even more suitable for the northern climate. The northern coastal areas lack fresh water, but there is no shortage of sea water.

For example, if the Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan region, which is a large water consumer, can obtain a large amount of fresh water in this way, it will be a very useful technology for the North China Plain.

Perhaps many people will say that the efficiency of biological desalination of seawater must be very low and not as good as a seawater desalination plant.

However, when looking at a technology, we should not look at one-sided efficiency, but should consider all aspects comprehensively.

The effect of Suaeda desalinating seawater is actually a by-product of this set of technologies. The purpose of Hailufeng Company to cultivate spirulina and plant Suaeda is to store energy and generate electricity.

Technically, the propagation of Spirulina requires corresponding temperature and light. Its requirements for light and temperature, if high-speed propagation is to be carried out all year round, can only be carried out along the coast of South China.

Winter along the coast of East China is not suitable for Spirulina reproduction; along the coasts of North China and Northeast China, half of the year is not suitable for Spirulina reproduction.

It is this unsuitability that allows Spirulina to exert its energy storage effect.

By building a simple greenhouse, using fluorescent lamps, electric heating, and electromagnetic field equipment, and borrowing electricity from offshore wind power projects to provide heat, light, and magnetic fields to the Spirulina greenhouse breeding pool, Spirulina can maintain a relatively efficient reproduction state.

Especially in the second half of every day, when electricity consumption is at its lowest, that part of the wind power energy can be utilized to accelerate the reproduction of spirulina. If the daylight hours can reach 18 hours a day, coupled with the stimulation of a specific magnetic field, the reproduction efficiency of Spirulina can be doubled. It only takes about 85∽90 hours for the Spirulina in the breeding pond to double.

The produced dry spirulina powder, Suaeda, etc. can be used as raw materials for microbial fuel cells to generate electricity, produce biogas, and produce fresh water.

The biogas slurry is recycled again as the nutrient solution for Spirulina cultivation, and the biogas residue is used as the nutrient soil for Suaeda.

The core of this system is a high degree of self-sustainability and low operating costs.

At present, the cost of seawater desalination is still high, generally around 4 to 8 yuan/cubic meter.

For example, the Lubei Bi Water Desalination Project in Wudi County, Qilu Province reduces costs through photovoltaic power generation, circular economy and other methods. The cost of desalinated water per cubic meter is as high as 7.5 yuan.

The bidding prices of several recent desalination projects in the world are generally between 0.4 and 0.6 US dollars/cubic meter, which is equivalent to about 2 to 3 Chinese dollars. Among them, the bidding price of the Hassyan desalination plant project in Dubai is 0.36536 US dollars/cubic meter, which is equivalent to 2.6 US dollars. Hua Yuan.

Dubai can achieve an ex-factory price of more than 2 yuan per cubic meter of desalinated water. That is because they use cheap natural gas from the Persian Gulf, which is equivalent to exchanging natural gas for fresh water.

Obviously, domestic people do not have the luxury of exchanging natural gas for fresh water, because domestic natural gas prices are much higher than in the Persian Gulf region.

As for seawater desalination projects derived from photovoltaic and wind power, the cost of the Blue Water Project is 7.5 yuan per cubic meter. This cost is not affordable not only in China, but also in the EU, which is obsessed with environmental protection.

Check out the 16-9 book bar and see the correct version!

Domestic desalination projects using new technologies, such as the Dongjiakou desalination plant, have reduced electricity consumption per ton of water to 2.5 kilowatt hours, and the price of water per ton is only 4.25 yuan, which is barely usable, but the price is still high.

The only drawback of this project planned by Jiang Miao is that it covers a very large area and requires the reconstruction of a large area of coastal beach.

Through relevant technical analysis, if all the assumptions can achieve the expected indicators, then the project can achieve a daily output of 15∽20 cubic meters of fresh water per mu. With a 1 million mu breeding base, it can produce 1500∽20 million cubic meters of fresh water every day and 54 cubic meters per year. ∽7.2 billion cubic meters of fresh water.

At the same time, the 1 million acres of Spirulina breeding base can produce approximately 3 million tons of Spirulina dry matter and approximately 80∽1 million tons of Suaeda dry matter annually.

These dry matter can generate 2 billion degrees of electricity through microbial fuel cells and 2.4 billion cubic meters of biogas through fermentation.

Among them, the spirulina dry matter digestate, if the spirulina breeding water is not industrial sewage, the produced spirulina dry matter digestate can be used as organic fertilizer.

In addition, genetically modified Suaeda can extract 200,000 to 300,000 tons of sodium chloride and tens of thousands of tons of other inorganic salts. However, these products are not profitable, but they need to be treated harmlessly.

The profitability of this project is actually pretty good. The annual output value of biogas, electricity, and organic fertilizer is about 5 billion yuan, with an average output value of 5,000 yuan per mu.

If the breeding base is established along the Bohai Sea, it can supply fresh water to the core area of the North China Plain. Calculated at an ex-factory price of 0.5 yuan per cubic meter, it can also earn 2.736 billion yuan per year.

As for costs, in addition to the depreciation and labor costs of base facilities, artificial light sources require about 150 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, heating and electromagnetic fields also require about 300 million kilowatt-hours, and other miscellaneous electricity consumption of 50 million kilowatt-hours, which adds up to 5 100 million kilowatt-hours of electricity.

This production-to-production ratio is still very good, especially since lighting and heating are concentrated in the middle of the night, and heating is only available in the winter months. Using wind power at the bottom of the valley, one kilowatt hour of electricity is only 0.156∽0.229 yuan.

Moreover, these farms can also develop warm-water aquatic products and warm-water planting to further utilize waste heat.

After Jiang Miao inspected the natural environment of Chongming Island, he ordered Li Zixuan to write a report to the scientific research department of the headquarters and ask the scientific research department to set up a scientific research base on Chongming Island.

In fact, Hailufeng Company already has four scientific research bases, namely Shanmei Headquarters Scientific Research Base, Yecheng Tropical Plant Research Base, Luling Dairy Breeding Research Base, and Zhelimu Biomining Research Base.

Chongming Island, a scientific research base, mainly studies crop technology in East China.

As for the Spirulina-Suaeda-Microbial Fuel Cell-Biogas project, he plans to place it in the coastal area of the Bohai Bay, which will be called the Bioenergy Comprehensive Application Research Base.

After all, this technology will also be used in the coastal areas around the Bohai Bay in the future, and scientific research bases will be established nearby to facilitate research and industrial layout.

Rested for a day at Chongming Island.

The next day, the group continued to take the high-speed train north.

When arriving in Qindao City, Jiang Miao chose to stay here for one day.

Inside a restaurant.

Jiang Miao met his sister Jiang Xia, who had been away for nearly two months.

"Sister, thank you for your hard work." He said while pouring tea.

"We are all a family, what kind words can we say?" Jiang Xia asked again: "How is Shuya's health?"

Jiang Miao shook her head helplessly: "She is okay and has almost recovered. She has been clamoring to work again these days."

"I guess raising children is too tiring, but with my mother at home, my sister-in-law and a nurse for a few months, the child's affairs shouldn't be too much trouble." Jiang Xia took a sip of tea and continued: "I've already done this The arrangements are almost complete, and after a week, I will go to several big cities in Henan Province to buy properties.”

"How many properties have been purchased in various places?" Jiang Miao gave his sister a piece of sea cucumber roasted with green onions.

"A total of 100 stores were purchased in the Yangtze River Delta region. Gansu Province, with the help of the branch company, purchased 100 stores; Beijing, Tianjin and Tang Dynasty purchased 80 stores; and large cities in coastal provinces purchased 100 stores. Including the 50 in the Pearl River Delta, the total is 430, and it is estimated that another 170 will be added, reaching a total scale of 600. ”

The physical store layout of Hailufeng Company is to first lay out three centers and then lay out four lines.

The three centers are the Pearl River Delta, the Yangtze River Delta, and Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan.

The four lines are the Shenhai Line, the Beijing-Kowloon Line, the Beijing-Guangzhou Line, and the Yangtze River Main Route.

As for the layout in Gan Province that sinks to the county seat, there is currently no need for it.

On the one hand, the company does not have enough manpower. The expansion to 600 physical stores this year is already an extreme operation. After all, Hailufeng Company is not a franchise model, but a self-operated model.

On the other hand, the product categories are not rich enough, and the consumption power of small counties is limited. Entering small counties at this stage is basically a matter of losing money and making money.

Just focus on key areas and trunk nodes in the early stage.

This layout of line-grabbing points is also conducive to reducing the pressure on the own logistics system. Customers in small counties and remote areas can only shop online and use express delivery.

When Hailufeng Company's product categories become more diverse, and the number of contracted growers and farmers reaches a certain scale, it will be possible to consider further entering the market.

After chatting with her sister for more than half an hour, Jiang Miao also gained an in-depth understanding of the progress of specialty stores in various places.

While talking, Jiang Miao remembered something: "By the way, sister, the Human Resources Department has recruited nearly 500 college students majoring in marketing in autumn recruitment in various places. You can call and communicate with the Human Resources Department and ask them Send some of the trained reserve staff to Gan Province and the Yangtze River Delta as soon as possible.”

"Oh? I know, I have been so busy these past few months that I forgot to communicate this matter with the human resources department." Jiang Xia wrote down the matter.

"Brother-in-law has returned to Shanmei a few days ago. Sister, please take the time to go back. After all, we can arrange for a few deputy managers to follow up on the matter of the physical store. You can just supervise them." Jiang Miao didn't want to see her sister and brother-in-law. Stay away more and get together less, so as not to affect the relationship between the two of you.

"He came to see me a few days ago, and it's not less than ten days and a half. He has been busy for a while, and he will have plenty of time at the end of the year." My sister smiled.

"Anyway, you make arrangements. After all, there are two children at home, so we must pay attention to their education." Jiang Miao reminded.

Zhang Xiaomin, the younger of her sister's two children, is doing okay, but Zhang Xiaolong, who is already in junior high school, is a bit rebellious.

As soon as she heard her brother's words, Jiang Xia immediately guessed: "Did Xiaolong get into trouble again? See if I don't slap him hard when I get back."

Jiang Miao thought for a while: "Sister, I don't think Xiaolong is good at studying, and few of the classmates he hangs out with are good friends. We might as well just let him drop out of school and let his brother-in-law take him to run the business. After all, we I don’t need a diploma to avoid getting into bad habits.”

Hearing this, Jiang Xia also felt that this proposal was good. Considering their family's financial situation, it was indeed worthy of the diploma.

And she also knew that her son's grades at school were always among the bottom dozens of his grade, and it would probably be useless to force him to study.

As for transferring schools, although it is easy to do so with the influence of the Jiang family, the problem is that for someone who cannot read, forcing him to go to a good school will only increase the pressure.

The couple is very busy at work, so if their son is left alone at school, his friends will definitely continue to keep in touch.

This is not the way to go.

Jiang Xia made up her mind that the couple could take turns taking their son on business trips to increase their knowledge while isolating him from daily encounters with his friends. As time goes by, the so-called friendship between classmates and friendship will become as dull as water.

As for the knowledge of junior high school, high school and university, in fact, it is not directly related to actual work. Nowadays, many contents of domestic education have been divorced from reality, or are seriously out of touch.

If her son wants to learn when the time comes, she can also ask a tutor to supplement his professional knowledge.

Instead of learning knowledge, Jiang Xia paid more attention to her children's outlook and character. As a second-generation Shang who would have no worries about food and drink in the future, three outlooks were the most important.

She suddenly became clear about her child's future plans.

Jiang Miao secretly breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that his sister had listened.

This is also his idea. For children's education, we cannot rely on schools and teachers. Parents must teach by words and deeds.

After all, many teachers themselves come from the ivory tower and do not have much social experience. The younger the teachers, the more deficient they are in this regard.

And because the current school climate is not very good, if many teachers are even a little strict, they will be complained by weird parents, so many teachers simply choose to behave badly.

When Jiang Miao was in elementary school, she didn't know how many times she was hit by the teacher's ruler on her palms. Nowadays, students can neither be beaten nor scolded. They are like giant babies. They can't think about it even if they don't go as they wish.

After chatting with his sister for several hours, he also gave her a lot of advice and helped Xiaolong plan a series of arrangements, such as going to a physical store for an internship, working as a farm worker, etc., and occasionally going on business trips with the couple, which is equivalent to Work-study.

In the afternoon, he visited the scenic spots around Qindao. Since the National Day Golden Week had passed, there were not many tourists at the scenic spots.

Rested this evening in a hotel on Qindao.

At eight o'clock the next morning, Jiang Miao and his party set foot on the high-speed train heading north again, but this time he did not stop in Beijing and other places, but went straight to Zhelimu City.
