Remarks at the end of the text
When I type this line, the main text of "What is Hexagonal Jungling" comes to an end.
From January 1, 2022 to January 31, 2024, it took me more than two years to finish writing Gu Xing's story, which is 5.31 million words in length. It should be considered a long story considering the starting point.
This is the longest novel in my online writing career. In fact, when I was constructing the hexagonal jungle, I thought about writing a longer league article around the S6-S8 seasons.
One thing to say is that the starting trend in the past two years is not as good as before.
It turns out that long-form writing is more popular. As long as the writing is not broken, more and more readers will be accumulated, and the income from various channels will also increase.
But then was before and now is now.
In the past two years, the channel has not been as popular as before, and recommendations are more inclined to new books. In most cases, the income of old books will slowly decline in the second half.
Theoretically, writing an online article of about 2 to 3 million words will be more suitable for the recent trend. If it is too long, readers will be less willing to follow it.
But I still wanted to try to write longer.
One is because when I wrote about the roaming mid laner, I accumulated a lot of important information and ideas from these three seasons but I didn’t use it; the other is that I think some of the early processing of the roaming mid laner was a bit sloppy and could be expanded and written into a new chapter. Although this is an alliance article written for S6-S8, the plot direction is completely inconsistent with that of a wandering mid laner. Third, I want to see if I can master long-form writing.
The execution of the long-form idea proved to be less than satisfactory.
I can’t say how well written it is, but at least it’s a smooth landing.
In the 5.31 million-word novel, whether it is the teammates of your own lineup, the configuration of the opponent's lineup, or the evolution direction of the version, most of the content of the hexagonal jungler is completely different from that of the roaming mid laner. The only similarity is The place is a version interpretation based on part of the real world line.
For example, in the S6 World Championship, the jungle core + bottom lane consumed Poke, in the S7 season, the top lane single belt + incense burner monster + vision battle, in the S8 season, the upper and mid swing + the bloody confrontation around the river crab after missing vision, I did not do these established facts. Changes, but tracing back to the source, I spent a lot of thought on how each World Championship version evolved. The specific description and the wandering mid laner are two routes, trying to keep readers with a certain sense of freshness.
In terms of results, this jungle position league article, which is also written about the S6-S8 seasons, has fulfilled the promise I made in my closing remarks on the roaming mid laner and made quite a breakthrough.
The highest average subscription, the highest follow-up subscription, and the highest monthly ticket in the Qidian Alliance article are all obtained by the hexagonal jungler.
The peak period of average subscriptions was probably during the S7 Spring Split, with over 21,000; the follow-up subscriptions were after winning the S6 World Championship, and the latest chapter within 24 hours was around 19,000.
Starting from the plot of the second championship, the results began to go downhill, and the score was cut in half, and then cut in half again in the process of the third championship.
I just took a look at the background. The subscriptions for the chapters of the Third World Championship are basically hovering around 4,000-5,000. The subscriptions for the final text and the ending are even higher.
The number of back-orders fell, and the average bookings also fell, but fortunately it ended smoothly.
At present, he still holds the top spot in the starting point league article score, and also relies on this hexagonal jungler to win the king of game classification.
In my opinion, the performance of this book alone is quite satisfactory. It is not easy to achieve this step for an online article with a word count of 500W+.
Moreover, the hexagonal jungler did not get much of the anti-theft bonus from the starting point. When the anti-theft was launched, the climbing period for the first championship had passed, which was a bit of a pity, otherwise he might have been able to reach a higher level.
I mentioned the specific reasons for the ups and downs in grades in the last chapter. The root cause is that readers have no sense of expectations when they keep winning. In addition, the book is too long, and many readers abandon the book in the middle.
On the other hand, several branches starting from the second crown have caused relatively great controversy, ranging from E+ to emotional drama.
The root cause is that the author did not write well. After all, he has limited writing power and overestimated his ability to control the plot.
Jumping out and looking at it, this may not be a bad thing. Recognize the advantages and disadvantages, and try to avoid certain minefields in the future.
In the end, I cut off most of the branches, leaving basically only the main line of Gu Xing's three consecutive championships.
This will make the third crown seem particularly boring. For this reason, I tried every means to change the way of describing the plot of the game. Fortunately, the effect is acceptable, and I plan to continue it in the next book.
Taken together, if you want me to give a score to the hexagonal jungler...
The S6 season is probably excellent. The level of detailed content, character description, and richness of the plot are better than the first championship of the roaming mid laner.
When the latter mentions S6, it is nothing more than Lin burning Karma's Banner of Command to restrain the mid and jungle double AP combination of SKT Time + Leopard Girl. Other than that, it will be relatively pale. The former can think of pictures - such as Gu Xing's own The triumphs and frustrations of Kindred Blind Monk, Marquis and Imp, as well as members of the Tigers, will be more abundant than the roaming mid laner.
At this stage of the second championship, I can give myself a passing score. To me, the entire content is quite satisfactory. At most, the writing method is a little more mature than the wandering mid laner, and it doesn't seem so boring.
I would give this part of the third crown a failing grade.
The description of the branch plot is not very good, and I am struggling to update it myself, and my creative enthusiasm has plummeted.
So what I said at the beginning of my speech is just a smooth landing, which belongs to the normal rhythm of the league's results of opening high-cutting in half-cutting in half again, rather than starting high and going high.
In the end, it was just one game after another. Not to mention everyone, my own writing was a bit lackluster, boring and boring. It was not as rich in content as the third championship of the roaming mid laner.
Another point to mention is the widely criticized update problem. The author probably has a bit of procrastination. Before midnight, he is always distracted and unable to concentrate on typing. He has promised many times before but always changes it after a few days. Return to the status quo and say sorry to everyone here.
It's more or less difficult to change. It was fine when I was a roaming mid laner in the previous book. I really like to drag it out when writing this book, which is strange.
I used to give out red envelopes to make my wallet lose a little bit, in order to overcome procrastination. I gave out 4,000 yuan a month for nearly a year, but I couldn't change it.
Now I have a new idea to see if it can come in handy.
That's roughly it.
In two years, even the sheep was hit twice, and the story of Gu Xing came to an end.
I feel so proud after reaching the top with my achievements, but I also feel uneasy when faced with doubts from everyone.
I also experienced the disgusting thing of being "copied". I didn't encounter the roaming mid laner until the end of writing, but I encountered the hexagonal jungler several times.
I just don’t understand. There are so many imitations of the same type of alliance literature out there, but someone just caught me and chewed them, right?
The plot direction has been messed up, the version changes have been messed up, and the opening ceremony has to be messed up. It is really a mess.
I have said more than once that whether it is the plot direction, version changes, or MVs, opening ceremonies and other things, I am different from the real world. Most of them are written by myself. Anyway, I can make my own logic. Negotiable.
If you like imitation, if you base it on reality, who can say anything to you?
If you have to catch me, I made up all that stuff myself. Can I tell?
For example, on the eve of the S8 World Championship in this book, I wrote that Syndra had been strengthened twice - the basic damage of Q [Dark Sphere] was strengthened, and the damage to heroes was increased from passively upgrading Q to full level. The 15% is increased to 25%, and the retreat output of the weak is also improved.
In fact, in the real timeline, there was only the first enhancement before the S8 World Championship, which was the increase in the output of the Dark Orb, and there were no subsequent changes.
That change was added to the book on my own initiative.
This is why some readers will say that in reality, Syndra in the S8 World Championship was only strong from the group stage to the quarterfinals. In the subsequent knockout stage, she was restrained by counter positions such as Dao Mei, and she did not have a hexagonal jungler. The performance was so powerful that the mid laners on both sides of the finals used it.
Because there is a patch enhancement difference between reality and the book!
Why should I change it?
Butterfly effect.
Superpower doesn't know Syndra - neither does it in reality. I only picked it twice in my career and never won.
In order to increase the difficulty of VG, Riot Games has strengthened the heroes that newcomer mid laners are not very good at, so that they can be self-consistent in the plot logic.
This also allows me to leave room for a super evolution of Chaowei in the book. This part of the plot will be more complete and will not destroy the underlying logic of the S8 World Championship, which focuses on the confrontation between the top, middle and jungle.
It’s not just this one change. After being ‘copied’ last year, I have learned to be smarter now and often make slight adjustments to some details to prevent theft by hand.
For example, the S8 Summer Games will be held in the Nanjing Youth Olympic Sports Park. Normally when the author writes here and wants to describe the scale of the venue, he must check the information before writing.
In reality, this venue can accommodate 21,000 spectators.
How much have I written?
30,000 people.
Insignificant and small changes have no impact on the plot.
As a result, I went to read the new work of the person who was involved in ‘imitation’ last year and was also my focus...
Hey, I discovered that he also wrote that there were 30,000 spectators in the Youth Olympic Park Stadium.
No more, no less, exactly 30,000 people.
I even specially took a screenshot and saved it - by the way, I almost became a big fan of him. Every time I updated it, I would take a quick look at it, and it actually showed up very high on the APP's tracking data.
It's really outrageous. I don't know how small the probability is that it will coincide with the audience data of the venue that I compiled directly on the spot.
If this is a coincidence, it is not impossible.
But when I look at his previous story from the S8 Intercontinental Games to the Asian Games, does it feel a little too familiar?
There are more than a few similarities.
Is there something wrong?
Of course, even if I reported it to the editor, it would be impossible to get the other party to take it down. At best, I would just make rectifications like last time.
Then I couldn't even apologize, and people had to mock me in the title of the new chapter.
I'll give it to you if you want to play around. I understand.
But the stomach is empty.
Some of them can be seen by readers.
Alliance texts have a niche audience, with a total starting point of tens of thousands of readers of this type.
Writing online articles for a fee is no different from cheating money. There will always be readers who will be screened out by imitations and not subscribe. On websites like Qidian where many people read books under pseudonyms, it is like self-inflicted.
I read that this person’s new book is not as good as the previous one due to the anti-theft effect. If you feel that copying is a positive benefit, then continue copying.
When I start a new book, I will write out these fine-tuning details and the butterfly effect every time I summarize a single chapter, which will just make the readers' reading experience better.
Just mentioned the next book, the author will briefly talk about it.
It's still the same type of alliance article, but the location will change.
I have sorted out the outline of my ideas, but I have a bad cold now, so I will rest for two days and then write and save the manuscript. I will rest more and wait until the end of the year before I publish it.
The starting and ending points of the plot of the new book will also be different from the S6-S8 seasons of these two books.
After all, the two books combined have 9 million words, all of which cover the content of these three seasons. Not only me, but many colleagues in the league also wrote about these three seasons. The highlights are indeed dense, including the explosive victory of the Bird's Nest championship. Yes, many readers of the book have also experienced the three seasons in reality, so it is easier to relate to them.
But I still want to change my taste and take a new track.
Maybe the audience is limited and the results are not as good as these two books, but it should be quite enjoyable to write by yourself and quite fresh.
By the way, learn the advantages and disadvantages of the jungle book and try a new story content.
The free extras for hexagonal junglers will be updated from time to time, and the number of chapters should not be small until the new book is released later this year.
Thank you for your companionship and support along the way. I wish you all a happy new year and see you again after the new book is released after the new year. (End of chapter)
