Chapter 177 Sleeping Cassandra (10,000 words)

Chapter 177 Sleeping Cassandra (10,000 words)

The dementors in the sky have nothing to do with them. In fact, even if he knew that he was being targeted by dementors, Harry might not care.

Do you care if a few grasshoppers want to bite you?

"I think these carriages..." Hermione frowned and said, "They seem to be traveling on their own? Otherwise, why can't we see the horses pulling the carriages?"

"Because the cart is being pulled by a Thestral, it's normal that you can't see it, Hermione." Harry said to Hermione.

"Thestrals?" Hermione frowned, "I remember seeing this kind of animal somewhere. It seems that only people who have seen death can see them?"

"Here, here." Ron, who acted quickly, had already read the popular science about Thestrals, pointed at it and read to Hermione: "Thestrals are a breed of Pegasus. They look like reptiles, skinny and long. A face like a dragon and broad wings like a bat.”

"They are very rare and are classified as dangerous by the British Ministry of Magic. The Thestrals have a creepy reputation. For centuries, they have been regarded as an unlucky symbol because of their scary appearance and are only available to those who Only those who have witnessed death can see it.”

"So you can see?" Hermione asked Harry.

"I've seen death, Hermione." Harry said nonchalantly. In fact, he had seen too much death - almost to the point of numbness.

However, Hermione misunderstood. She thought Harry was talking about the time when he was a child and saw his mother die in front of him.

"Sorry, Harry," she apologized carefully.

"It's okay, Hermione." Harry smiled gently at her.

There was silence in the car, and Hermione felt that she had said the wrong thing.

"I really don't know what Professor Lupin's lectures will be like." Ron said suddenly, and he felt that he should break the silence: "I hope he can be more competent than Ms. Rosier."

"As of now, Professor Lupine should be competent." Harry replied.

The carriage rolled forward, with a pair of majestic and extraordinary cast-iron doors in front of it, with many stone pillars on both sides, and a winged wild boar at the top.

It can be seen that two tall, hooded dementors were standing guard on both sides of the gate, as if they were showing the gate to Hogwarts.

Seeing the carriage approaching, the two Dementors seemed to want to lean forward, but then retreated quickly as if they had remembered some prohibition.

"I think they are scared." Ron Rui commented: "Look, they moved back - like on the train, I think they have already stuck together at this time."

"Will they know what fear is?" Hermione asked curiously: "I heard that dementors are fear itself. Can fear itself also feel fear?"

"Fear comes from the unknown, Hermione." Harry stretched out his hand easily and took out a piece of chocolate from the side and handed it to her: "You two eat some chocolate, it's very cold."

The carriage increased its speed on the long sloping driveway until it arrived in front of the castle. Hermione leaned out of the window and watched the many turrets and towers gradually approaching them.

Finally, the carriage swayed to a stop, and the three people got out of the carriage.

"They're really beautiful, aren't they?"

An ethereal voice came from the side, and Harry turned his head and saw the light-blond girl with slightly swollen eyelids.

It's Luna Lovegood of Ravenclaw.

"Are you talking about the Thestral?" Harry asked Luna uncertainly. No matter how he looked at it, he felt that creatures like the Thestral had nothing to do with beauty.

"Yes, the Thestrals are really beautiful." Luna said as if singing.

"What happened?" a gentle voice asked.

It was Professor Lupine, who had just gotten off a carriage from behind.

"We're watching the Thestrals, Professor," Harry said politely.

Lupine looked at Harry gently, still sighing in his heart, this child really looks like Lily.

As polite as she was, and gentle - not as boisterous as his dad, James.

Yes, noisy, that's what Lupine said about James.

"Let's go, I think we should enter the castle." Professor Luping raised his head and glanced at the sky: "It seems that it will rain again soon. It would be bad if it gets poured on you."

They walked into the castle together. As they passed the door, Harry could still hear Professor McGonagall and Madam Pomfrey chatting. It seemed that Madam Pomfrey was complaining to Professor McGonagall.

"I really don't know what Fudge and Dumbledore think about letting dementors stationed around the school. Don't they use their brains to think at all? Oh my god, I told Dumbledore a long time ago, right? Eating sweets is not good for them. There’s no good in thinking…those are terrible things, and what they do to those who can’t stand them—”

"Perhaps you should cut off his tooth-health potion, Poppy." Professor McGonagall said seriously: "Let him experience the feeling of tooth decay and being unable to eat!"

"You should tell Severus about this. He is the one who secretly brewed the tooth-strengthening potion for Dumbledore." Madam Pomfrey complained in a low voice.

Harry walked to the corridor with a few friends and walked along the hall to the auditorium.

The auditorium was a sea of pointed black hats. Each long table was filled with students, their faces lit up by thousands of candles suspended in mid-air above the tables.

After a while, Professor McGonagall also walked in carrying the tip of the Sorting Hat.

They know that this is the sorting ceremony for the new semester.

"You are finally here." The Weasley twins said with a smile: "I thought you were haunted by dementors - like our little baby Ronnie."

"Don't worry, Dementors are not as scary as you two guys." Ron rolled his eyes and said, learning this action from Hermione.

Soon, Professor McGonagall came to the front and placed the sorting hat on the stool.

The old hat opened his mouth and sang a nonsense song loudly.

"Who taught him this tune?" Hermione covered her ears and said, "It's too ugly."

"I think he probably made it up when he was bored." Ginny commented seriously: "Look, at least he is very satisfied with the tune."

Ron curled his lips and said: "What aesthetics can a hat have?"

Fortunately, the old hat can't hear the conversation here, otherwise he would be sad.

There was no mistake in calling "Hannah Abbott" during this year's sorting ceremony. Professor McGonagall got the list right.

What Harry noticed was that there was a little girl with black hair in the sorting house this time, and Draco's eyes were almost glued to her.

After the sorting ceremony, Professor Flitwick picked up the peak of the Sorting Hat and walked out of the auditorium carrying the stool.

At this moment, Dumbledore also stood up.

As everyone recognizes the greatest wizard in the world, Dumbledore's costume fits the stereotype of this character very well. His hair and beard were several feet long, and he wore half-circle glasses and a sharply hooked nose.

Only those who have an in-depth understanding of Dumbledore, or who do not know Dumbledore at all, will think that he is a powerful wizard - but unfortunately, most people in this school do not know Principal Dumbledore very well. They all agreed that the principal was a bit crazy.

"Welcome!" said Professor Dumbledore, his beard sparkling in the light of the candle. "Welcome to Hogwarts in the new school year! I have a few words to say to all of you, and one of them is very Seriously, I think it’s better to make this clear before you get confused by this delicious meal..."

Dumbledore cleared his throat and continued: "After they searched the Hogwarts Express - you must all know that our school is currently receiving a number of dementors from Azkaban, and they are here It is to carry out the official business of the Ministry of Magic.”

He paused for a moment, showing a somewhat unhappy expression.

"They are stationed at all entrances to the school grounds," Dumbledore continued. "During their stay here, I must make it clear that no one is allowed to leave the school without permission. Dementors should not be subject to Tricks or disguises - not even an invisibility cloak."

When he said this, Dumbledore looked at Ron and Hermione meaningfully, because several members of the duel cabin often wore invisibility cloaks and traveled at night.

"Dementors don't understand requests or excuses by nature, so I warn each of you: Don't give them any excuse to hurt you. I count on the prefects, as well as our newly appointed president of the boy student union and the girl student union. Chairman, you must ensure that no student will conflict with the dementors.”

Percy, who was sitting only a few seats away from Harry, puffed out his chest and looked around impressively.

"He is a fan of officials." Ron whispered to Harry: "Remember the book he read last year? "How Prefects Obtain Power". His worship of power is even higher than magic."

"I think magic is more important than power, Ron." Harry also said quietly: "As long as you have the strength of Principal Dumbledore, are you afraid that you won't be able to get power?"

"Why?" Ron asked in a low voice: "Don't you think Principal Dumbledore must obey the Ministry of Magic's request and place dementors in the school?"

"Because he has a good temper, Ron." Harry replied: "As long as he wants to, the Ministry of Magic will never dare to force him to do anything - Ministry of Magic? How many Aurors do they have who can fight against Dumbledore?"

Ron thought for a moment and realized that was indeed the case.

"This sentence is very familiar, and I remember Assistant Assistant Gale also told me." Ron said to Harry: "I exchanged letters with Assistant Assistant Gale several times during the holidays, and he told me a lot of things."

Harry was a little surprised. He thought Gellert was just having a whim, but he didn't expect that Gellert seemed to be quite interested in Ron?

"So that's it." Harry didn't ask in detail.

With Vivi suppressing Gellert, Harry didn't worry about what kind of trouble he might stir up.

Besides, boys at this age are the most sensitive, and it would be bad if they ask questions.

He believed Ron had a ruler of his own.

Dumbledore looked around and continued: "What is more gratifying is that a new teacher has joined our teaching team this year. He is Professor R.J. Lupine. He generously agreed to make up for the Defense Against the Dark Arts course. There is a vacancy in the course, let us welcome him.”

Professor Lupine stood up and greeted everyone politely.

Perhaps it was because the impression Professor Rozier gave everyone last year was too perfect, or maybe it was because Professor Luping was unattractive, but in short, there was sparse applause in the auditorium.

Harry clapped his hands and cheered for Professor Lupin, which led to the applause of the surrounding students.

Hearing Harry's cheers, Lupine smiled gratefully at Harry.

Unsurprisingly, Snape's eyes were fixed on Professor Lupin along the long staff table.

Everyone knew that Professor Snape had always wanted to be a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. This was no secret - but the distorted expression on Snape's thin, sallow face surprised the students. The expression was more than annoyance—it was, without a doubt, hatred.

The last time Harry saw Snape showing such an expression was in his mother's memory, where Snape was staring at Harry's father, James Potter, by the Black Lake.

"Okay, I think the important things have been said," Dumbledore raised his hands and said, "Now I announce that the banquet has begun!"

The golden plates and goblets in front of them were suddenly filled with food and drinks. Harry and the three of them, who had not eaten much in the car, suddenly felt hungry, so they took out the food they could reach. They all took some and started eating.

Especially Ron, who once again recreated the violent fight with chicken drumsticks, eating one in each hand until he was carried away.

Hermione was too lazy to correct Ron's eating habits. In her opinion, Ron was already hopeless, so why bother to save him anymore?

It was a sumptuous meal, and the auditorium echoed with laughter and the clink of knives and forks.

After the banquet, Dumbledore directed everyone to start singing the school song as he did in previous years.

"Even in the darkest days, don't forget to have hope." Dumbledore stretched out his hand and shook it in front of the candle: "But we can always find happiness. This is the trait we need."

After that, he raised his hand and said: "Now, let's sing the school song together——"

This was the part that all the students were least looking forward to, except the Weasley twins.

They went to Egypt, and they didn't know where they learned the tune. In short, the students present seemed to see the green roma breaking through the gate of St. Romanus.

If there are any Turks present, they will definitely recognize that this tune is their traditional "Ancestor, Grandfather".

"Actually, the Slytherins should sing it."

At the end, the Weasley twins added happily: "After all, Ottoman Turkey is also green, and Slytherin is also green. They must have a common language."

The Slytherin classmates all glared at the Weasley twins after hearing what they said.

Hey, what are the replicants talking about?

After singing the school song, Dumbledore asked the prefects to take the students back to their dormitories.

Percy immediately stood up and pushed his chest forward slightly, apparently to let everyone take a closer look at the Head Boy badge on his chest.

"Big-headed boy." The four Weasley siblings whispered in unison. The twins looked at each other and laughed.

Even Ginny was the same, not caring how hurt Percy looked.

The freshmen and old students followed the prefects and walked towards the common room.

The common rooms of the four houses are all different. Gryffindor is in the tower, like Ravenclaw; Slytherin is in the basement, and Hufflepuff is next to the kitchen.

People who enter Hufflepuff are the most blessed, because they can go to the kitchen as soon as they open the door. If they scratch the pear on the portrait at the kitchen door, it will smile and turn into a door handle for people to pass through.

The house elves at Hogwarts will never refuse students who sneak into the kitchen to eat, even if they come not above board.

What the Gryffindor students didn't expect was that the person guarding the door of Gryffindor had changed. It was no longer the portrait of the Fat Lady, but a sphinx.

"It's a Sphinx!" the Weasley twins said in unison.

But looking at their expressions, there was no hint of fear at all. Instead, they were quite looking forward to it.

"Welcome back to the Gryffindor common room." Sphinx's voice was very elegant: "I am the new gatekeeper of Gryffindor, you can call me Sphinx..."
< br>

"Aren't Sphinxes a tribe?"

Someone in the crowd interrupted and asked, but the Sphinx didn't look very happy, maybe because he was interrupted, or maybe because of other reasons.

"I think you should improve your knowledge, Miss." Sphinx said seriously: "I won't explain this question much - well, you need to answer my questions correctly before you can enter. Common room.”

"Does everyone have to answer correctly?" someone asked loudly.

"No, only one person needs to answer correctly." Sphinx said with a smile: "After each correct answer, you have ten minutes of free entry and exit time."

"Then what are you waiting for? Ask now!" Simo said, watching the fun and not taking it too seriously.

The Sphinx looked down at the classmates and asked: "Which letter is an animal?"

Which letter is an animal?

This riddle...

"The answer is bee." Hermione quickly replied: "Bee, the pronunciation is the same as the letter B, isn't it?"

"The answer is correct, young lady." The Sphinx jumped aside and gave way to the intersection: "Remember, even if you can't answer the question, I won't strangle you to death."

Hearing these words from the Sphinx, everyone shuddered.

Oh my god, is there such a thing?

However, the Sphinx's words were addressed to Harry. While speaking, his eyes were staring at Harry, which made Harry feel a little embarrassed.

After they entered the dormitory, some Gryffindor students began to complain: "Oh my God, if this continues, we will become Ravenclaws - think about it, we have to answer the Sphinx." What difference does this make between us and Ravenclaws in order to enter the common room?"

"It wouldn't be a bad idea for us to add a little wisdom, so that we can be both wise and brave." Hermione whispered to Harry and Ron. The words were not loud. Hermione was still a little worried that these words would arouse public outrage. .

But it doesn't.

On such a cold and dark night, it was a very happy thing to climb into a warm bed early. Harry did not plan to go out for a night out, but lay on the bed to recharge his batteries for tomorrow's Merlin test. Prepare for practice.

September 1, 1993 was a Wednesday. What the students did not expect was that they did not start classes immediately when the semester started. Instead, they waited until next Monday, which was September 6, to officially start the first class of the semester.

But even so, Wednesday is the time to collect student work.

Ron didn't realize until he woke up in the morning that he had already finished half of his Potions homework. He was so anxious that he scratched his hair.

But fortunately with Hermione's help, he handed in his paper before the deadline.

"Oh my God, I thought I was going to die." Ron said with some suffocation: "I really can't imagine what Professor Snape would do to me if I didn't do my homework."

"Don't worry, he will never kill you." Hermione said, holding back a smile: "For you, hell is just a sauna, isn't it?"

Ron pursed his lips and said nothing.

The Ravenclaw students were enthusiastically discussing Gryffindor's new gatekeeper. They really didn't expect that the school would get a sphinx to guard Gryffindor. "It should obviously belong to Ravenclaw." Zhang Qiu from Ravenclaw said with some indignation.

The other Ravenclaw students nodded together, they seemed tired of the knocker - but if it were the Sphinx asking the question, it would be acceptable.

At least the Sphinx is not a cold door knocker, but a living sphinx.

Luna was sitting on the long table in Ravenclaw, seeming to be looking at the Gryffindor table, and also seemed to be looking at Slytherin over there.

The female students around her were whispering and pointing at Luna, obviously not saying anything nice.

Harry, who had very sharp ears, heard what they were saying, which was nothing more than words like 'crazy girl', advising others, especially the freshmen, not to play with Luna.

Harry glanced at Luna with some worry, but found that Luna didn't care about these verbal violence, as if they were talking about an unrelated person.

This girl has a really good mentality. Anyone else would have to fight with these villains who are cuckolding others behind their backs.

"They are so disgusting." Hermione whispered to Ron, "What did Luna do wrong? Why did she treat her like this?"

"It's wrong to be different, Hermione," Harry replied just as softly.

Hermione nodded, stood up, came to the Ravenclaw table, and extended an invitation to Luna.

Check out the 16-9 book bar and see the correct version!

"Luna, do you want to come and have breakfast with me?"

Luna raised her head blankly, and when she saw it was Hermione, she smiled calmly and nodded.

"Okay."

Her voice is still ethereal, just like her temperament, if you ignore the big, slightly swollen eyelids.

After Luna arrived at the Gryffindor bench, Hermione asked in a low voice: "Have you always been like this in the academy?"

At the same time, the crickets in the Ravenclaws became louder, and Hermione was joined this time.

It's nothing more than troublesome things about Hermione, and some people even speculate on the relationship between Hermione and Harry with the greatest malice.

"I'm sorry to have caused you trouble." Luna said apologetically, "But I saw - Harry seems to have a bug on his head. What are you worried about? Harry?"
< br>

"This is no trouble, Luna." Hermione smiled indifferently, "I don't care what a few people who have nothing to do with me talk about me behind my back - a molester? What is a molester? Does Harry have any What worries? ”

"The harassing fly... is a buzzing thing. When you are entangled by it, it means you have a lot of troubles." Luna said softly.

"I'm worried about a friend, but don't worry." Harry smiled at Luna: "She will be back soon."

"Is it Vivi?" Hermione looked interested: "Is she finally going to end her studies in the Muggle world?"

"No." Harry shook his head.

But when Hermione mentioned Weiwei, Harry remembered that when Weiwei was in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, a group of girls had been chasing her around, and even stumbling upon her to hide her crown...

If she was allowed to see Luna who was in the same situation... maybe the two of them could become good friends?

"Who is that?" Hermione demanded, she was nosy.

Because she heard the "she", he and she in English can be distinguished clearly.

"I have the right to remain silent," Harry said.

"I think something must be wrong with you, and you feel a little guilty, Harry." Hermione squinted at Harry, as if trying to find some loophole.

However, Harry didn't care at all and lowered his head and continued eating his breakfast.

Breakfast is important. You must eat breakfast. After all, it is the king's breakfast, the prince's lunch, and the beggar's dinner. These are the correct three meals a day.

After Harry had breakfast, he went to Professor Sprout's greenhouse.

Sprout still wore that extremely simple outfit, and there were even a few withered yellow leaves on her head.

"Harry." Professor Sprout was not surprised by Harry's arrival. She greeted him, "Are you here to get some mallow leaves? I've prepared a bag for you, right there. Leave it aside.”

"Thank you, Professor." Harry stepped forward and took away the package Sprout pointed out to him.

"Remember to inform Mr. Longbottom and ask him to come to my place." Professor Sprout said: "I have something to ask him for."

"Okay, Professor." Harry nodded and left the greenhouse.

When he passed the auditorium, he told Neville about this matter, and then climbed up the stairs and came to the front of the principal's office.

This time the gargoyle didn't even say a word and just jumped aside.

Harry glanced at it in surprise, not expecting him to be so aware of current affairs this time.

"Professor." Harry walked to the principal's office, trying to find any trace of Dumbledore.

To his disappointment, Dumbledore was not in the school.

Harry sat patiently in the principal's office and waited for more than half an hour before Dumbledore walked in from outside.

Seeing Harry's figure, Dumbledore was obviously stunned.

He didn't expect Harry to be waiting for him in the headmaster's office.

"Professor." Harry stood up and greeted Dumbledore.

"I'm sorry, Harry." Dumbledore came over and sat on the chair. "The Ministry of Magic has something to do with me, so I was delayed for a while - what do you want here?"

"I want to ask you if I can go to the Forbidden Forest." Harry folded his hands and said: "The Merlin Trial is still to be completed. I just got some brocade from Professor Sprout. Aoi leaves, I guess Cassandra might be there.”

"I remember I approved a holiday for you last year, Harry." Dumbledore said with a smile, "What's more, today is just self-study, there are no classes."

"There are Dementors at the entrance to Hogwarts and in the Forbidden Forest, Professor." Harry sighed and said, "You know, Dementors are born not to know what forgiveness is. I don’t want to cause trouble either.”

Dumbledore looked at Harry expressionlessly, a light flashing on his half-moon glasses.

Look, what are you talking about?

You don’t want to cause trouble?

You don't want to cause trouble when you kill three dementors on a train?

What did you think I did just now? The Ministry of Magic wants to know what caused the three dementors who went to search the train to disappear silently...

"I know you don't want to cause trouble to the school, Harry." Albus Dumbledore sighed, "But I think your matters are more important, and those dementors are not a threat. Your safety.”

Yes, the dementors still have to worry about their own safety, Dumbledore even thought with some schadenfreude.

"What if a dementor attacks me?" Harry asked.

"That's their responsibility, Harry," Dumbledore replied accurately.

Okay, that's what Harry was waiting for.

"With your words, I feel more at ease." Harry stood up and said, "If there is nothing else, I will leave first, Professor."

Professor Dumbledore nodded and allowed Harry to walk out of the principal's office.

When Harry reached Newt's tent, he was stopped by Pappy.

"Harry, what are you going to do?" Pappy looked at Harry warily, "There are all Dementors out there, it's very dangerous! Newt told me all!"

"I'm going to Merlin's ruins. There's only one left, Pappy." Harry reached out and rubbed Pappy's head.

"I'll go with you, Harry," said Pappy, jumping.

Harry looked at Pappy and advised her: "Dementors are not vegetarians. Pappy, what should you do if you are targeted by them? Be obedient and stay with Professor Scamander." It’s safer after all.”

"No, Harry." Pappy took Harry's clothes and pulled him and said, "Harry~Harry~ you know, dementors only attack humanoid creatures, and I don't count..."

"I can't take you with me, Pappy." Harry sighed and said, "I have the basilisk Alfonso in my wallet right now, and I don't worry about letting you in - what if it stares you to death?" Do?”

"Okay." Pabbie took a few steps back regretfully: "Then you go ahead - I'll wait for you to come back here."

"Okay." Harry nodded at Pappy, walked into Newt's tent, and came to Hogsmeade through Apparition.

The first time he entered Hogsmeade, Harry took out his Nimbus 2000 from his wallet and rode on it.

He flew all the way to the Forbidden Forest according to the location in his memory.

It should be said that the Forbidden Forest seems to have been expanded by some mysterious magic. From the map, the Forbidden Forest is not very big - but once you enter the Forbidden Forest, you will find that it is almost as big as the entire UK.

The location of the last trial is in front of Czech Doyle's tomb.

Harry pressed the broom in the forest and landed on the other side of a pond.

There were towering trees all around, which looked as thick as four or five people hugging each other. They looked like they were at least hundreds of years old.

Above the pond not far away, dots of green light danced, like fireflies - but they were not real fireflies, but some kind of residual power of Merlin.

Harry first used a detection spell, then walked to the disc of Merlin's ruins and scattered some mallow leaves on it.

A burst of green energy burst out from the disc, and Harry took advantage of the situation to swing his wand and cast a detection spell.

The results of the two detection spells were different. After starting the Merlin Trial, there were obviously three more brazier-like things around.

The Merlin Trial here is related to the Fire Curse.

Harry walked in the direction indicated by the detection spell. In front of him were two huge spider webs - just looking at the size of the webs, he knew that the owner of the webs was definitely not small, and could even be as tall as a calf. Down.

The detection spell did not detect the presence of the spider, so he safely burned the two webs with the fire spell.

Harry walked to the stone pillar on the other side, continued to follow the same pattern, and lit the brazier on the stone pillar.

But after he lit the third brazier, he found that nothing happened.

Could it be that there is a fourth brazier?

Harry took two steps forward and continued to detect...

He found that the first lit brazier had gone out.

It seems that all three braziers need to be lit within a short period of time.

Harry moved very quickly this time, even using Apparition, in order to light all three braziers in a short time.

After the third brazier was lit, lush greenery bloomed on the disc of Merlin's ruins, and the dots of green light converged into a line that slowly reached Harry's palm.

Not sure if it was an illusion, but Harry always felt like he was getting smarter.

Maybe this is Merlin's gift, he thought.

But...

However, he discovered that there was still no sign of Cassandra in the ruins of Merlin.

Why is this?

Could it be that Cassandra is not among Merlin's ruins?

Before Harry could think further, he heard a rumble coming from the water in front of him.

He quickly stood up and looked at the pool of water in front of him. The green light spots above the water surface became more and more dense, and the water surface was boiling like a pot.

The ground shook violently, and Harry reached out to hold onto the stone pillars of Merlin's ruins, taking out his wand warily, ready to see what was going on.

The shaking of the earth became more intense, and the green light spots on the water became thicker. After a while, Harry saw an arch rising from below the water, with a light unique to ancient magic shining on it.

When the ground stopped shaking, and after Harry used the detection spell to confirm that there were no threats around him, he cautiously walked forward and came to the side of the pond.

There was a crystal ball on the raised stone pier beside the pond. Harry picked it up and got a piece of information from it.

It was left to him by Merlin - or in other words, it was left to his descendants who had completed all the trials.

It probably means that this arch will appear only after completing all the trials he left behind - and this arch has been reinforced by ancient magic. People without ancient magic talents are destined to be unable to enter it.

Harry was quite lucky. Fortunately, he was the last to complete this trial. Otherwise, would he have missed it?

But...

Ancient magic fluctuations?

Harry frowned. Cassandra was not the descendant of ancient magic. Could she be here?

He thought about it and decided to go over and take a look.

Disapparation was a very convenient spell, at least he didn't have to wade through the water to get to the arch - and the water looked very deep, and Harry doubted whether he would be submerged if he stepped into it. At a loss.

He patted the stone pillar of the arch and walked around to the other side.

Through the ancient magic fluctuations on the arch, Harry looked inside and found that it turned out to be a cave.

Harry passed through this magical wave and walked into the cave.

This cave was different from any he had been to before. It seemed to have been artificially modified and was surrounded by blue stone walls.

There are tall braziers everywhere in the cave, with flames of various colors leaping on them - Harry can see clearly that the flames above are flames that can burn forever without any fuel - Gubrasian fire.

He walked forward along the path of the cave - to be precise, it should be a corridor, and came to a bridge.

The entire bridge is engraved with intricate patterns, and Gubulai fairy fire is lit in the braziers on both sides of the bridge, which looks very solemn and sacred.

Harry's heart began to beat loudly as he stepped onto the bridge.

He always felt that there seemed to be something waiting for him ahead.

Following the bridge to the end of the road, in front of him was a gate.

Harry stepped forward and cast a detection spell, intending to find a way to open the door.

Sure enough, the result of the detection spell told him that there was a fingerprint on the door.

He stretched out his hand and pressed it on the fingerprint.

The door suddenly seemed to be covered with vines, and those vines quickly receded, revealing an archway that could accommodate two people passing through.

Harry walked in. What was different from what he expected was that the room behind the door was so dark that he couldn't even reach out and see his fingers.

He raised his wand and chanted the spell.

"Lumos."

The spell illuminated the entire room. Harry looked forward along the light and found what seemed to be a stone platform in front of him.

On the stone platform, a beautiful girl wearing a Slytherin school uniform was lying on it. Her face was rosy, her hands were folded on her chest, and her chest was rising and falling evenly. She looked like she was asleep.

Under the stone platform in the girl's hand is a broken goblet.

Of course Harry recognized this girl, she was none other than someone else.

It's Cassandra Malfoy.
