This book was submitted to the editor in March 2021 and was officially released in May. It has been nearly four years since then, and finally the moment when the whole book is completed.
When I typed the three words "Finish the whole book", my mood was extremely complicated: I had a sense of accomplishment, and I couldn't help but feel a little emptiness.
This is the first novel I have created with more than one million words.
I experienced countless ups and downs during the writing process.
In life, I went from squeezing time to typing while working at 996, choosing to leave the postgraduate entrance examination, and then becoming a graduate student, and I was beaten by many society.
In writing books, I also encountered many difficulties and deeply realized that writing novels is an extremely difficult thing.
Especially when I was writing the second volume, I experienced an extremely terrible creative bottleneck as a newbie author - I was stuck every day until I was bald and I could never write a feeling of satisfaction.
It was not until the later part of the third volume that I gradually got rid of this state and regained the rhythm of writing.
The second volume of the data, with the worst blood-collapse, is a bit perfectionist author, I rewritten and refined the full text.
While keeping the overall direction unchanged, the details and plot were adjusted, and the final reading rate has been significantly improved compared to before.
Especially, the characters of Zhao Yan and Shangguan Jin are much more coherent than the original version.
At least after the revisions, book friends basically no longer complain about "separate character designs" or "abrupt emotional lines" (laughs).

But this book also has many shortcomings.
What I regret the most is that I did not "knife" Chen Jisheng at the end of the first volume, and let Shi Xiaohan inherit the "Wuwei Sword", stay in Yishui County to protect the side, and become a real female hero.
When discussing the book with the big guys in the author group before, they mentioned that a character who has set up a flag and lays the foundation for sacrifice will be fatal if there is no "knife" at the climax. a mistake.
Like Dunn in "The Mysterious Lord", if he did not sacrifice at the end of the first volume, it would be difficult to impress readers, and the subsequent plot would lack the expectation of revenge.
Because Chen Jisheng did not sacrifice, the world view of demons I built seemed to be in danger and the tone was light.
At the same time, this also made the first volume look too complete, like a happy ending, without leaving enough emotional hooks for the subsequent plot.
Otherwise, the plot of Killing Jiuying Snake Demon and Killing Kong Xuan Sanren would be more enjoyable.
The new book has been discussed with the editor, and it is expected to be a fantasy or fairy tale theme. Consider using folk legends to build a more interesting system. The information is currently being reviewed and may be released in one or two months.
