Chapter 85 Remarks on the launch

Chapter 85: Remarks on the book's release

I have been writing a book for many years, and this is the first time it has been released on the shelves, and I almost made a mistake.

I thought it was 12 noon tomorrow, but I was wrong. I activated VIP after midnight, which is really embarrassing.

The book "Long Sword in the Late Jin Dynasty" has done well among new books in the same period and has been ranked first in the list for a long time. This is all due to everyone's support. I would like to thank you.

The protagonist of this book has a low background, which is probably rare among the sons of time travel in the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties.

I once considered whether to get a gentry status, but then I thought about it.

As mentioned in my book, the gentry is a group with political privileges, accounting for only about 1% of the population.

The gentry in a broad sense includes aristocratic families, ordinary gentry and poor families.

Don’t look down on the poor, this is a group with political privileges.

Even if some poor families are very poor, there are no institutional or legal obstacles for them to become officials. At this point, it is even more powerful than the local heroes with many parts.

I have read some online articles about the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, and the protagonists are basically the sons of aristocratic families, at least from a branch of a wealthy family or from a poor family.

I want to write something different, I want to write about the protagonist who represents the 99% of the group.

During the Wei and Jin Dynasties, whether it was romantic or difficult to survive, which one can represent the actual society at that time? Everyone has their own opinions and preferences, so I won’t go into details.

In short, the protagonist of this book has a very low starting point, and his only strength is martial arts and military strategy.

The Eight Kings Rebellion is a special time point. Twenty years ago, the chance of the bottom class was not great, and a few decades later, the chance was not great either.

Just such a time window.

This is also the main reason why I originally planned to write about the Hou Yan period, but later moved forward the entry point significantly. Otherwise, it would be really difficult to get ahead because the time window has passed. The book has written 260,000 words so far. Everyone must have noticed that the scenes have not yet been laid out and the new maps have not yet been unlocked.

For now, the protagonist is just hanging out in Luoyang, a city that is least like the Jin Dynasty, with limited contact, and has not yet truly devoted himself to the turbulent cause of hegemony. He has also not really come into contact with more social classes and has not really understood this country. His life is very monotonous, with nothing else except conspiracy, killing and women.

In the following, various aspects of territory management, alliances, military wars, political reforms, social trends of thought, etc. will be slowly unfolded.

Old readers who are familiar with me know that I write without an outline.

In the past, Qidian submissions required an outline, but now I don’t need to, so I didn’t even bother to write a fake outline. Everything was deduced from the moment, and I only had a general direction in my mind.

In other words, the character in the book has a certain degree of autonomy. He is not completely controlled by the author. Everything must be logical and reasonable.

The greatest power as an author is to choose one for the protagonist when there are several forks in the road, that's all.

I won’t say much more, thank you for your support.

After midnight, I will post five chapters first as a token of respect.

When I get up during the day tomorrow, there should be more chapters. It depends on my coding speed. Anyway, I have a day off tomorrow.

Finally, I hope everyone will subscribe enthusiastically.

Especially the first order (the first VIP chapter, Chapter 84). Also, don’t forget to vote monthly, thank you.
