Chapter 28 Remarks on the Release
First let me talk to you about the plot and updates of the public version:
I have seen everyone’s complaints, but this is the style of this book, with more foreshadowing at the beginning. , this is an inevitable result of the structure, and I am not procrastinating for the sake of procrastination.
After all, I don’t have a few million words to explain the protagonist and the world clearly before this beginning, so naturally I have to use more words at the beginning to create a believable world for everyone. .
This is one of the reasons why I hesitated to write this story at first:
I just feel that if I tell everyone at the beginning of the article that Chinese football has produced a world superstar who can win the Ballon d'Or and is ranked among the top three in world football... I am afraid that many readers will not believe it and will not be able to relate to it.
I can’t just use the author’s tone to tell you that Wang Lie is awesome and Wang Lie is among the top three in the world, just for you to believe it.
I always have to use various ways to prove that he was once very powerful. Only then can you gradually accept this magical fact...
This is also the technique and method I used when writing Fox in the Forbidden Zone, so it seems that there will be a lot of side descriptions and foreshadowing.
This is when I have five or six thousand words in one chapter.
This is one of the reasons why I want to change the update rhythm.
If it were like the previous book, with a chapter of just over 3,000 words and two updates a day, I’m afraid the pace would be slower and more watery... There is a difference between the content density of 3,000 words and 5,000 words. Similarly, I will not write less content just because a chapter has 3,000 words. I will still write how I know how to write.
But this will make people feel that two updates a day still do not advance the plot, it is still slow, and it is still watery.
I saw some people complaining that the pace of this book is too slow and not as good as "Fox in the Forbidden Zone"...
Brother, the pace of "Fox in the Forbidden Zone" is slower at the beginning and more abusive. Drive people away even more. And that kind of slow pace is what I have been consistent with from "Fox in the Forbidden Zone" to this book.
If you don’t believe me, ask your friends who have followed "Fox in the Forbidden Zone" since the beginning.
You think the pace of Fox in the Forbidden Zone is not slow, maybe because when you read it, the book already had millions of words. When you read it in one go, many serializations felt slow, and the parts that felt watery were all wonderful. The foreshadowing, plot and description.
When you start to catch up on the latest chapters and catch up on updates, you will still feel slow.
The reason why there don’t seem to be so many people talking about water may be because I deleted all the comments that said I am water...because I don’t think it is water. I think the total text of Fox in the Forbidden Zone is 7.66 million 8631 words, not a word is wasted, so I do not accept criticism that I am weak.
The same is true for this book. I have written more than ten or two hundred thousand words. So far, every chapter and every sentence has been written by me over and over again and to the best of my ability. I still don’t understand. I feel like even a single punctuation mark here is redundant. I believe that if you read it patiently, you will definitely agree with my point of view.
I even think that as long as you have watched my "Fox in the Forbidden Zone", you should have this kind of tacit understanding with me.
It is precisely because of the success of "Fox in the Forbidden Zone" that I will stick to this style in the book "Reversal". And this book really needs this style.
When I write a book, I think more about how I will feel when I read the book as a whole after I finish it, rather than ruining the rhythm of the book just for the sake of serialization.
This is my habit and style. The styles are different, you may not like them, but I don’t think they are bad.
It’s just that in today’s fast-paced era, it will be more disadvantageous. So the reading data for this book is actually not good...
But I will still stick to this style and continue writing. Whether it's good or bad, I'll comment after finishing this book - "Fox in the Forbidden Zone" was always accompanied by various controversies when it was first serialized, and the results after it was put on the shelves were also appalling, but I still insisted on finishing it. According to my I wrote it completely based on my thoughts, and in the end I thought I had handed over the best answer sheet I have produced in twenty years of practice.
Of course, I admit the problem of slow updates.
Updating once a day is really slow and completely inconsistent with current market demand.
As a reader, I also wish that my favorite books would be updated three or four times a day...
If possible, as an author, I would also like to be able to update three or four times a day. In this way, everyone will definitely enjoy watching it and be happy. If everyone is happy, I will be happy too. The more subscriptions I have, the happier I will be...
But there is no way, now I am like Wang Lie without plug-ins, full of ambition but insufficient strength...
Wang Lie is only thirty-eight years old, and I am already forty-two years old.
After I finish writing one chapter every day, it is very difficult to write the second chapter. It would be good to be able to write the beginning of the second chapter when I go to bed. I am really exhausted physically and mentally, and want to play and relax uncontrollably.
In order to force me to focus on coding, I go to the library early in the morning to queue up and grab a seat, because I code more efficiently in the library.
Even though my wife is suffering, she still has to get up early with me every day and go to the library to waste time...
"Black Myth: Wukong" is so popular that I played it in the afternoon and evening on the 20th. I haven't opened the game since the second day until now. At most, I played the plot and animation on a small website. Saw it.
I am afraid of delaying the coding.
So everyone thinks it is slow, and I agree, but I have to say that this is the result of my best efforts...
Actually, what I want to say is: as long as I don’t die and don’t close my book, I still have a lot of time to accompany you, in the past twenty-two years, now in this book, and in the future. So don’t be rigid about the speed of this one day and one night...
I also thought about whether to update all the plots of Wang Lie in Suo Fulian in one go on the first day of the novel. , I guess there shouldn’t be that much controversy.
But on the one hand, I really don’t have that many manuscripts to save, and on the other hand, the editor won’t let me – the new book issue has a word count requirement, and if I add too many, the new book issue will be greatly shortened, which is also extremely disadvantageous for arranging various recommendations.
In short, this is the situation. I have explained it to everyone honestly. I hope everyone can understand. It is really not easy for middle-aged men...
< br>※※※
This is the tenth time I have written a "remarks on the launch". In my twenty-two years of career, I have written twelve books with more than 42 million words. Only the first book "Do you care if I play football" and the third book "Born to be a loser" are not on the shelves, so there are no testimonials.
Think back when I was writing my acceptance speech for "The Winner Takes King", I was still looking back on my ten years of writing Wang Wen. Now the second decade has passed and we have officially entered the third decade. Year...
And for the past twenty-two years, I have only written about football.
When I think about it, I find it incredible.
Considering the general environment of Chinese football and the declining trend of traditional sports being impacted by e-sports, I can still write about football and make money to support my family by writing about football. I really want to thank you all for your daily necessities. Thank you. you.
Now that I am about to turn 42, all I can do is to write my novel as seriously as possible and tell you a good story that is worthy of every subscription and monthly ticket you have. and every comment.
Actually, I really wish I could have a plug-in like Wang Lie. Every time I update a few chapters, I become one year younger...
Then I can write about myself as a baby!
Unfortunately, fantasy is fantasy, reality is reality, and there are insurmountable obstacles on both sides.
Because it is impossible to regain youth, the present moment is particularly precious.

Let’s talk about this book.
The earliest impulse for the book "Reversal" came from the 2022 World Cup - I do not shy away from the fact that the inspiration for this book came from Cristiano Ronaldo's plight - everyone looks at the chapter title of Chapter 6 of this book, and then go to "Fox in the Forbidden Zone" 》Volume 7 Look at the name of the single chapter I wrote about Cristiano Ronaldo’s elimination during the 2022 World Cup, and you should be able to understand.
But just because the prototype is Ronaldo, it doesn’t mean that I must write everything after Ronaldo.
Because I am not simply writing about Cristiano Ronaldo, otherwise I would just write about a Chinese possessing Cristiano Ronaldo, just like the soul-swap advertisement he shot in Nike.
I didn’t do this because I didn’t just write about Ronaldo.
I just wanted to write about an unyielding soul, a paranoid monster, a professional player who logically should not exist - I took their characteristics from many people and combined them into Wang Lie.
Cristiano Ronaldo is the prototype, but he is not Wang Lie.
Wang Lie certainly has the qualities of Ronaldo, and there are quite a few of them. But he is not Ronaldo either.
It can be said that Wang Lie is not a specific person, but an aggregation of one or several spirits.
What is a "prototype"?
Every novel and every character I write has its own prototype. After all, I can’t imagine characters and stories out of thin air.
When I first wrote "Do You Care If I Play Football", the character prototypes were all myself and the people around me. They even had the same names, but they were just prototypes and not exactly the same as the characters in my book.
This is why I said in the preface that I hope everyone will not be obsessed with finding corresponding characters in real football. You only need to read the characters I wrote. Otherwise it will be very fragmented - what the prototype looks like in reality does not mean how the characters I write should be. How are the players in real life, and what does it have to do with the characters I wrote?
Otherwise, why would I write fictional stories? Why not just write about real football?
I, a "naming geek", put in so much effort to come up with names for clubs and players, am I just tormenting myself for nothing?
Someone asked me why I didn’t continue the world view of “Forbidden Foxes” and use the names of those clubs.
Of course, this proposal is reasonable and very feasible.
But I am worried that the world of "Forbidden Fox" will be too deeply rooted in people's hearts. I used my own fictional world as a prototype, because I am afraid that people will always associate it with the stories and characters in the previous book...
That’s why I renamed all the names in this book so thanklessly, so that everyone can only focus on Wang Lie’s story when reading.
Whether it was in "Forbidden Fox" or "Reversal", I made it very clear, because reality cannot accommodate my ambitions and cannot fully contain what I want to say.
Readers don’t have to be obsessed with what real characters look like. If you are really so obsessed with real people, why not just watch real-life football matches?
Or read those online articles that write about real-life football, but insist on reading my story, which is clearly a fictional story?
If you don’t know how to substitute at the beginning, you can find some plausible prototypes for comparison.
But it is just to facilitate your own understanding of the story. For example, if you don’t know which team Tyne is, and you can’t imagine what it would be like when Tyne and Sofo United clash, you can simply and crudely use the real Premier League team. Go set.
That’s no problem.
There is really no need to project your own feelings, likes and dislikes about real-life football into novel characters and stories.
Use Cristiano Ronaldo's deeds to scold me for writing about Wang Lie, which is wrong here and wrong there... Please, what I wrote is Wang Lie, whose surname is Wang and whose given name is Lie. He is Chinese. Not the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro.
If you really think that Wang Lie will remind you of that specious prototype, it will make you feel physically nauseous, just don't watch it.
It’s just a YY novel, there’s no need to torture yourself like this.
Reality is messy and tiring enough. In the world of YY novels, can’t we relax a little?
※※※
Let’s talk about the story itself.
The story of "Reversal" is just like the name. Everyone knows what it is about at a glance.
That’s why I said the beginning is already the most frustrating stage of the book.
Because the next step is a reversal!
This may be the most enjoyable novel I have ever written, and it is so real and believable.
The style is the same as Fox in the Forbidden Zone, creating a world and characters that make everyone feel real and believable, and then weaving them together into a good show.
The personal character I designed for Wang Lie also destined him to be unlikely to be abused...
Because he is not like the protagonist of my other novels, he was just an unknown person at the beginning.
Wang Lie is already a superstar at the beginning of the story. Wherever he goes, he is the focus of the spotlight, so why does he still care about what others think?
For example, when I first wrote about Wang Lie’s first day of reporting to Tyne, I wrote it very warmly. According to my original habit, I wrote about how he got to know each other with his new teammates under the introduction of the captain or the arrangement of the coach. , greetings...
But as I write, I always feel awkward and uncomfortable, and I can’t write anymore.
Later I realized that I accidentally thought of Wang Lie as a new melon egg.
Who is he? What is his identity?
Why did he have to compromise with his new teammates?
Then I wrote that chapter into what you see now.
Wang Lie is such a person:
What do you think of me? That is your business and none of my business? I only do things according to my ideas. You have to agree even if you don’t agree, and you have to accept even if you don’t agree. Who said I am better than you?
Because of this, people who like her will like her very much, and people who hate her will also hate her. There is almost no middle state.
It is also because of this that he suffered such treatment at the end of his career.
Character determines destiny.
To put it bluntly, he asked for it.
But I think it is this kind of personality that makes this character very interesting, especially suitable for being the protagonist of online novels.
"Forbidden Fox" gradually solidified my idea - not to write characters that everyone likes, but to write vivid characters.
Wang Lie is the product of my thinking.
As the protagonist, he will definitely not be liked by everyone, and there will definitely be people who hate him and feel that he sometimes does something wrong - I myself have expressed this view in the book through the mouths of others.
But he is alive, real, and what I want to write about.
I can’t help but think:
What will happen if we put such a contradictory and real person into a certain story environment? How will he respond?
Thinking about it, I got inspiration and impulse.
Instead of being afraid of writing about the bad side of the protagonist and making readers hate the protagonist, you will be timid in writing and hesitant to look forward and backward.
Are there any novel protagonists who are perfect, absolutely popular with readers, and have good grades at the same time?
There must be, but my ability is limited and I really can’t write it.
So I choose to write imperfect protagonists, even flawed protagonists.
Just because I use Wang Lie as the protagonist does not mean that I necessarily approve of everything he does.
It’s just that I will show you the good and bad things faithfully and unabashedly.
Leave it to you to evaluate.
Just like the protagonists Hu Lai and Li Qingqing in the previous book, the supporting characters Luo Kai, Hu Lixin, Li Ziqiang, Xie Lan...etc., no character is 100% disliked by everyone.
Even for Li Qingqing, I specifically wrote down her height and weight. I remember that after I wrote it out, many people said that Li Qingqing was a "tank" and couldn't be loved.
But it’s impossible for me to write that the number one player in the women’s football team is white and skinny, right?
So I said that friends who have read "Fox in the Forbidden Zone" should have a tacit understanding and can more or less guess the style of this book.
The stories are different, but the style is consistent.
Having said so much, on the one hand, I have really explained everything I wanted to say during the entire public version at once. On the other hand, I also hope to clear up your doubts and guide you to better enter Wang Lie's world.
I hope that when this story comes to an end, it will receive the same evaluation as "Forbidden Fox" - it is like a real parallel world. Although the novel is over, everyone in that world They are all still alive and willing to live there.
Limited by the structure of this story, this book should not be too long, at least it will certainly not be as long as "Fox in the Forbidden Zone".
The total number of words in this book should not exceed three million words, and the serialization time will definitely not be extended to three years and seven months.
Finally, thank you all for your support, let us enter Wang Lie's world like time travelers and start a new journey!
Finally, new books are on the shelves. Subscription scores are very important. Please subscribe and vote monthly!
