Chapter 9 Fury

Chapter 9 Fury

Sosh Yang weighed his last bag of armor-piercing grenades on the observation platform.

A series of explosions covered the pitted surface, sweeping away chunks of black rock and hot metal.

The attack had its intended effect, forcing the ambushers in the passage above who had not seen Soshyan's team rushing down to temporarily retreat, and attracted their attention.

Boom!

Flames erupted across the platform again before the final grenade exploded, but this time the Necron's focus was on Soshyan's squad.

Soshyan's heightened senses noted the stench of burnt metal and blood, as well as the sporadic click-clack of weapons firing, and he assumed his brother was too busy elsewhere to welcome them.

After Occam assessed the firepower configuration of the ambushers who were strafing them, he slid into the bunker next to Soshyan.

"They knew we were coming."

Soshiyang took a look at the situation on the battlefield. Their company was in a hard fight, and the undead had cunningly established an ambush area here.

"What is your order."

Hearing Occam's words, Soshyan turned his calm eyes to look at his brother.

"We're going to kill them."

He grinned, but it was obscured by his helmet. .

"Reznor, Calisinus."

Sosh Yang called out on the communication channel, and then the two soldiers who were called left their positions and came to their commander.

"Prepare the melta bombs, see those pillars."

He pointed to the source of the towering platforms.

Calisinus and Reznor nodded together.

“You and I——”

"You have to stay behind."

Occam decisively terminated Soshyan's adventure.

"You have to bear the heavy responsibility of command."

The two soldiers who were named also nodded in agreement.

“Okay, then I will provide you with cover fire.”

After ten seconds of preparation, Soshyan stood up first and fired at the aliens on the platform with his bolter. At the same time, Hasdru also raised his heavy bolter and unleashed a hail of deadly bullets at those abominable machines. .

Before venturing across the clearing leading to the support structure, the two Space Marines activated their melta bombs.

The aliens noticed the fire coming from the side. Some of them turned around, turned their guns and started shooting at the location of Soshyan's team.

When Reznor took a few tentative steps, the green decomposition ray hit him.

“Ugh!”

The impact knocked him down and spun him around before he fell into a pool of blood.

Calisinus was more fortunate, letting out a feral war cry as he reached the base of the platform, then attached the explosive to one of the pillars and received a blow to the shoulder.

"Calisinus!"

As soon as Soshyang saw it, he immediately wanted to jump out and drag the injured warrior back.

But Occam immediately reached out and held him down.

Necron counterfire is ferocious.

After the aliens located near the base of the building realized what Calisinus was doing, they immediately penetrated his body with several focused fires.

But before they could stop themselves, Calisinus pressed the detonator.

“For the Emperor!”

Boom~~~~~!

He roared as the melta bomb exploded, followed by bright, ultra-hot chemicals that instantly vaporized him. Sosh Yang was stunned for a few seconds.

The platform is holding up!

“Damn it!”

Soshiyang was about to dive into the fire net to complete this task, when the second explosion broke out immediately.

He turned around to avoid the sudden explosion. The smell of chemicals irritated his nostrils, followed by the groaning sound of metal bending.

The observation platform finally collapsed, sending up clouds of dust and smoke.

Unconcerned about the source of the second explosion, Soshyan stood up and let out a roar of victory.

"Forward!!"

Bolting across the open field to the destroyed mass of twisted metal and shattered black stone, he brandished his chainsword at the ready for battle. And knew his battle brothers were hot on his heels.

The Necron lines struggled to hold up in the face of the onslaught of Space Marine companies.

Emerald green energy clouds gathered above the heads of the Astartes, tearing the air apart.

With a loud explosion, many soldiers were reduced to ashes.

The sound of bolters washed away the Necron vehicles, but the decomposition rays were also dismembering the Astartes battle line. The corpses of many soldiers fell crookedly on the battlefield, and the company's flags were already in thousands. It was riddled with holes and crumbling, and their company commander was nowhere to be seen.

When Soshyang saw such tragedies, the apocalypse hit him like thunder.

"Kill the alien!"

Sosh Yang quickened his pace eagerly, both the low hum of the power armor and the hum of the chain sword were filled with endless rage.

As he moved forward, he left huge footprints one after another on the road, as well as the corpses of the undead along the way.

The Necron's weapons left a series of ripples in the air, but apart from Soshyan's angry war cry, the Necron received nothing.

His bolter unleashed fury, pounding the Necron land gunship and beating its pilot to pieces.

Then he felt no mercy as he stepped over the remains of the machines.

Pop!

Suddenly, there was a shock to the head, and Soshiyang smelled the burning smell.

His helmet was scratched by the dissociation ray, almost taking off half of his head, but the threat of death did not make him back down.

"For the Emperor!"

Soshyan tore off the broken helmet, leaving only the breathing mask, and let out a high-pitched roar, then plunged into the formation of the Necron.

He thrust his chainsword forward, carving a deathly rift through the Necron infantry.

The chainsword's teeth intersect with living metal, creating a storm of parts and discarded remains.

Chewing each blade carefully and tasting the slender body of the Necron, eating them dry and wiping them clean like fine delicacies, and then throwing the unnecessary residue to both sides.

The shining limbs and torso covered the ground.

On his right flank, Axel allowed his fury to ravage and dismember the Necron lines.

Squad member Arkan has fallen. Before he died, he ignited the promethium tank on his body, turning dozens of undead around him into sultry metal fragments.

The honorary flag bearer of the company was leaning on his torso, barely still firing, but his legs had turned into a pool of flashing molten iron.

Soshiyang gritted his teeth and tried not to notice how the tiny mechanical insects were devouring human masterpieces bit by bit.

Every time the mechanical beetle bites, it is accompanied by painful electric sparks from the power armor.

Everyone engages in infantry hand-to-hand combat with the undead. Although their numbers are small, their fighting spirit is high.

The blade bit into the body of the Necron, but the shield was also shattered under the illumination of the green beam, and the torso and body without the protection of the shield were even more vulnerable.

When Soshiyang discovered that one of the cursed undead actually peeled off the skin of a living person on the battlefield and then wore it on himself, allowing other flesh and blood to be evaporated by the green light, he had no idea about these aliens. The hatred becomes even more determined.
