But the Heavenly Palace in "The Myth" is a magnificent and vast dream space.
The sun, moon and stars are simulated with night pearls, and thousands of troops and horses stand in the sky, as if they are marching towards the sea of stars under the leadership of the First Emperor.
Such a magnificent scene is unmatched by "Terracotta Warriors".
What’s more, in this scene, there are a lot of beautiful and romantic scenes between Meng Yi and Yu Shu.
All of this is produced using a three-in-one method of green screen + CGI + real scene layout.
If you want to show the magnificent scene of the Heavenly Palace, you need to have enough space between the lens and the green background, and you must not reduce the shooting space.
Therefore, Yang Yecai built the largest studio in Asia.
Building a photo studio is easy. As long as you have money and land, you can build it as big or small as you want.
But the filming of the "Tiangong" part was still very difficult.
The first is the issue of lighting.
When filming "The Secret of the Dragon", in order to solve the light source problem in the tomb passage, the film used a lot of background special effects.
Use various fluorescent lights, green fire, and lake water to create the light source in the tomb passage, rendering the entire underground world very strange and full of fantasy colors.
The "Tiangong" is actually a tomb, which has no sunlight.
So when shooting, we also need to solve the problem of light source.
The setting given by Yang Ye is that the builders of the imperial tombs inlaid a large number of luminous pearls on the top of the cave to simulate the sun, moon and stars.
This setting is in line with the description in "Historical Records": "Use mercury as the rivers and seas, instilling the mechanism, with astronomy at the top and geography at the bottom. Use mermaid ointment as a candle to save the immortal for a long time."< br>
It is also original. It is said in "Historical Records" that "mermaid paste is used as a candle." Since grease is used as fuel, when it is used up, it is changed to a luminous pearl, which looks better.
The problem of setting the light source has been solved, and the next step is to actually operate it.
Indoor light sources are usually displayed with light bulbs and color temperature paper. This is how it was done when filming "The Secret of the Dragon".
It was a lot of trouble when filming the "Molten Steel" scene in "Terminator 2" because water was involved and color temperature paper didn't work.
At that time, the crew installed more than 300 light bulbs at the bottom and around the water pool, and all of these light bulbs were coated with warm-colored gel.
Coupled with auxiliary equipment such as reflective panels and diffusers, the overall environment presented an orange atmosphere and the task was completed brilliantly.
"Myth" is actually about adventure and treasure hunting, so it stands to reason that the operation of "The Secret of the Dragon" can be replicated.
However, the "underground palace" in "The Secret of the Dragon" is relatively narrow, but the "celestial palace" in "The Myth" is a huge space.
If you want to light up this large space and meet the shooting requirements, you need to use a lot of high-power lighting equipment.
With so many lighting equipment used together, the entire "Heavenly Palace" is like an oven. People working in it will be extremely tired, nervous and anxious.
Fortunately, Yang Ye's team accumulated a lot of experience when filming "Terminator 2". Although this filming was difficult, they also had corresponding methods to deal with it.
And the conditions in Guangming Film and Television City are better than when they found an abandoned steel factory on the outskirts of Los Angeles.
For example, if they have enough electricity, they can install cooling equipment in the studio.

In the setting of "Myth", "Tiangong" is a weightless space created by meteorites from outer space.
Actors need to perform a "gravity-free" effect in the Heavenly Palace, and almost every shot requires "diao wire" to achieve it.
Such a high-intensity "Diaowia" is a huge challenge for actors.
Especially Yang Ye and Cui Zhenzhen, they have to "fly together" in the air, bringing a beautiful and romantic scene to the audience.

Yang Ye hired professional divers to train several main actors to dive and experience the state of "neutral buoyancy."
What is neutral buoyancy? When an object is placed in water, if it floats, it has positive buoyancy; if it sinks, it has negative buoyancy. If suspended in water, it is "neutral buoyancy."
This state of neutral buoyancy is very similar to the state of weightlessness in space.
When astronauts perform weightless training on Earth, they do it in a large pool, using neutral buoyancy to simulate a state of weightlessness.
