Summary of Volume 2

Summary of Volume 2

The second volume is finished, basically there is no big climax, it is relatively smooth.

According to the outline, part of the content of this volume has been edited, shortened and deleted. Except for some small plots that do not affect the main plot, three major plot changes are relatively obvious.

The first part is the way the little princess Zhou Xiyue died.

The original outline plan was that when Jiang Shouzhong was out, the little princess and the maid took the opportunity to find the inn and prepared to capture Erliang and Zhang Queer. Unexpectedly, Zhang Queer was a master. At the critical moment of the fight, Erliang used the firecracker left by Jiang Shouzhong to kill Zhou Xiyue in the head.

So the original plan was for Erliang to kill Zhou Xiyue. But in the end, I thought about it and felt that given the current situation of Erliang, it was not suitable for her to kill Zhou Xiyue in advance, so I finally changed it to the male protagonist pretending to be intoxicated and kill Zhou Xiyue.

The second point is to delete a plot between Jiang Shouzhong and Yelu Miaomiao.

When Jiang Shouzhong was sending Yelu Miaomiao out of Humen Pass, the witches from the witch clan predicted through divination that Yelu Miaomiao would appear. In order to prevent the other party from snatching the position of the great witch god Su Gu (Empress Dowager Xiao planned to let Yelu Miaomiao succeed the great witch) Shen Su Gu's position), so a demon killer was sent to intercept him halfway.

During the interception process, Jiang Shouzhong and Yelu Miaomiao experienced a period of escape, during which they staged several life-and-death moments. The two gradually deepened their affection and eventually fell in love.

I deleted this plot because it is expected to last about seven or eight chapters. Originally, the second volume was written around Ran Qingchen and Qu Hongling, who previously escorted Yelu Miaomiao and Jiang Que has already written too much, so in order to let the protagonist enter Qingzhou as soon as possible, he decided to delete this paragraph and let the two fall in love directly.

The third deletion is a scene between Qu Hongling and Ran Qingchen in the Shura Hall.

The original outline was that when the two entered the Shura Hall, they were still enemies and almost killed each other during the process. Later, King Shura regained consciousness, and the two were forced to fight against the enemy together. After experiencing several crises during the escape, the two gradually trusted each other and each saved the other twice.

But under the pursuit of King Shura, their confidence began to collapse, and they were eventually trapped in prison, where they accidentally discovered some secrets of the Shura clan. In despair, the two women thought they were certain to die and chatted openly with each other. Later, the trap was discovered, and after going out, the two worked together to kill King Shura (King Shura woke up during the process, told Ran Qingchen that there was a ruthless sword heart in his body, and crushed it), and then the two women became sworn sisters.

I have shortened this plot because it is too long. It is estimated that it will be about four or five chapters and I can't write it. So I simply opportunistically let the two girls fall into a fantasy world and solve it directly in one chapter, making them sworn sisters. , to facilitate conflicts in the next volume.

Some other fragmentary plots have only been slightly adjusted and will not affect the big picture.

In addition, I have also tried to adjust the style of this volume, because many readers have said before that the plot is too depressing, such as the chapter about Zhang Queer in Wu'an Temple. Although I personally found the writing very enjoyable and smooth, it is still quite dark overall.

So I thought about changing the genre, such as adding some brainless pretentious slap-in-the-face plots. For example, in the plot of Jianshan Villa, I started to add brainless pretentious slap-in-the-face plots, but the effect was not good. After all, I’m not very good at writing about pretending to slap people in the face, and I wrote in the same way I did more than ten years ago.

When I wrote books in the past, whether it was the Niangzi or Madam books, they were generally quite depressing, and I got used to it. But it can’t be like this now. After all, today’s society is very fast-paced and everyone’s life is relatively depressing, so this book started on the wrong foot. In addition, I also tried to change the character of the male protagonist to be more naughty and out-of-the-box to make the overall style look less depressing, but after trying it, the effect was very bad.

In short, this is the only way.

I tried again and again, but the more I wrote, the more awkward it became, with frequent glitches.

As for the updates, these days they are all two-in-one chapters. The amount of updates is indeed not as large as before. One reason is that I always want to change my style, so writing it is a grind. Another reason is relatively simple. My grades are not improving. Although I haven't dropped, I can't take a step forward, especially now that it's over 800,000 words, almost one million words. I haven't made any progress yet. The upper limit of the instruction manual has come to an end. In this case, I really lost my temper all of a sudden.

So I thought about it and decided to focus on the women next, with less focus on other plots, and turn to the harem plot, so as to create the heroine with peace of mind.

Let’s talk about the setting of the heroine in this book. In fact, there are different styles from the beginning. The four heroines are about the same age as the protagonist (Qu Hongling, Ran Qingchen, Li Nanshuang and Yelu Miaomiao). ), four mature women (Li Guanshi, Jiang Yi, Luo Wanqing and the Queen Mother Xiao), two imperial sisters (Ye Zhuchan and Nightingale), and two foster sisters (Er Liang and Jiang Que), a total of twelve main heroines .

The others are either given away for free or to promote the plot. Anyway, the proportion will not be as large as the twelve above.

At that time, the number of people expected to be the Twelve Hairpins of Jinling.

I can’t say whether I will write about the harem in the next books. At least for this one, I am thinking about the last one with multiple female protagonists, so I will definitely take it seriously and write about all the female protagonists I can think of. Once again, leaving no regrets.

Also, some readers said that I started digging holes again in this volume to create the Riddler. Actually, there really isn’t. In this volume, I mainly fill in the gaps and explain why Ran Qingchen’s mood is so volatile because her mother left a ruthless sword heart in her body.

At the same time, being destroyed by King Shura also meant that Ran Qingchen's relationship was on the right track, and then in the third volume, why Jiang Wan wanted to leave the sword heart in his daughter's body.

Other than that, there is basically no digging plot. He Benquan and Luo Mingtang are constantly digging holes to advance the plot or give equipment to the protagonist.

In short, the current performance of the book is basically at this stage. If I rush, I have no energy to rush, and it is impossible to fail. Since I believe in my heart that it is the last part of the trilogy, or the harem, even if the other plots are not good, the heroine must To write well, but also to write extras better.

Well, that’s it for the second volume so far. The next volume will be the one about chasing the husband thousands of miles away. The plot is quite long, and it’s time to meet.
