This prevents some metal ingots with a large aspect ratio from being optimally crystallized. Controlling the sliding movement of the crystallizer is done automatically. How does it work automatically? Thermocouple, to put it simply, set a sliding temperature. When the thermocouple detects that the temperature of the ingot drops to this temperature, it will automatically slide upward.

Of course, continuous casting with higher requirements is not so simple, but this stage is enough.

What to do if it fails? In other words, just turn off the sliding control system, use it as a fixed ingot mold crystallizer, and slowly study and test the continuous casting mode.

In fact, at the beginning of the research, Gao Zhendong planned to use this thing as a fixed ingot mold crystallizer, and continuous casting would be done at a later stage.

Gao Zhendong gave the overall design, characteristic parameters and environmental requirements of the crystallizer, and handed over the manufacturing, testing and detail optimization to his colleagues in the research group.
