Chapter 515: Heartbeat missed
Huh?
Ryder opened his mouth slightly, tilted his head, and stared at Levi with great interest but no concealment of surprise and astonishment. A slight smile gradually appeared in his beautiful and lively eyes. Just like jasmine blooming quietly, it is not ostentatious but has a fragrant fragrance, which has its own kind of beauty.
Then.
The corners of his mouth turned up immediately, but he still couldn't hold back his smile, "One thousand, two hundred?"
"Ha ha ha ha."
The more he thought about it, the funnier he became, and he no longer held back. His delicate face bloomed with a bright smile like the sun, and his eyes fell on Levi's eyes again, looking carefully.
"So, have you met him now?"
Levi nodded gently without any hesitation, "Of course."
Later, there were no words, Levi just looked directly into the eyes in front of him quietly.
Ryder was stunned.
She could tell that Levi was a little drunk, and his eyes were confused and focused, but those clear and translucent black eyes were looking directly at her quietly and mistyly with a slight smile, so generous and so direct.
Caught off guard, his cheeks became slightly hot.
The heartbeat skipped a beat.
Ryder subconsciously avoided looking.
But just when he lowered his eyes, he immediately became annoyed, and then he heard a deep voice coming from his ear.
"My name is Levi, can I ask your name?"
Ryder looked up again, only to find that the man in front of him still didn't look away, but his eyes were not aggressive. They were covered with a layer of mist due to the alcohol. He was slightly lazy and casual, and the corners of his mouth were relaxed and slightly raised. Just like the morning light falling on a clear spring in early summer morning, people can't help but want to touch it with their fingertips.
"Thalia."
Ryder said.
Levi raised his eyebrows slightly. Obviously, this was not a regular name, "Wow, this is a special name."
Ryder shrugged lightly, "My father got it for me."
Levi was a little curious, "Are your parents hippies?"
Ryder didn't understand.
Levi explained, "They always like names that are close to nature, such as rivers, leaves, rain, etc. Their children are like children of nature."
Ryder chuckled, "No, they're not. But I can understand their kids' annoyance because in school, we all had weird names and the other kids were always making fun of us."
"This is wrong." Levi shook his head slightly, "This is a beautiful name. You should stand up bravely to defend yourself and tell those children who regard 'Twilight' as their naming bible. Mediocrity feels sad.”
ha.
Ryder laughed happily, but then realized his gaffe, quickly pursed his lips and glanced at Levi, "You're drunk."
Levi did not deny it and rubbed his slightly hot temples, "Indeed. So I am trying to relieve it."
Ryder looked back, as if confirming the night manager's location, and then lowered his voice and said to Levi, "Wait a moment."
Turning around, the girl disappeared.
But before Levi could react, the girl appeared again with two popsicles.
Ryder handed the popsicle to Levi, and he quickly opened one and began to chew it. "Although I have never drank wine and don't know the feeling of being drunk, I have seen my mother do this. She Said it would relieve her headache."
Levi looked at the popsicle in his hand and laughed.
He wanted to say, are you sure this is not for icing the forehead but for chewing?
But looking at the serious expression on Ryder’s face, Levi finally swallowed the words and started chewing them——
He wasn't sure. Why did his head hurt more?
"Wait, Thalia, is this the kind of thing that changes the color of your tongue?"
Faced with Levi's question, Ryder did not answer, but stuck out his tongue.
Levi had a speechless expression on his face as Ryder's tongue turned blue.
Ryder laughed cheerfully, "This will make me feel like I'm from Pandora in Avatar."
Levi raised the yellow popsicle in his hand, "So what does this make me become?" "Minion."
Levi:......
"Haha, hahaha." Ryder didn't hide his smile at all.
Along with this, the smile on Levi's lips rose easily, "Do you want to know something?"
Ryder tilted his head and looked at Levi with wide eyes, as if he was listening.
Levi didn't sell it, "I'm happier now than I have been all night."
Ryder crunched his popsicle, "Oh, are you happier than winning the Super Bowl?"
Levi suddenly woke up and stared at Ryder's face in astonishment.
Ryder shrugged, "Tonight because of the Super Bowl live broadcast, our store's sales increased five times. Our boss laughed so much that his mouth split."
Levi couldn't hold back his smile, "Oh, God, I must have looked like a fool just now."
Ryder didn't deny it, his eyes were full of smiles, "So isn't the celebration party fun?"
Levi thought about it seriously, "Not really, I've seen a whole new world, but I'm not sure... Huh, okay, it's really not fun."
In the end, Li Wei gave up the explanation——
alcohol alcohol alcohol everybody everybody noise noise noise.
It was a bit fresh at first, but as I circled around, there was nothing but emptiness. The noisier it became, the lonelier it became, and the more crowded it became, the lonelier it became.
Levi looked at Ryder, "I must look like an ungrateful bastard right now."
Ryder, "I don't think you're an asshole."
Levi was stunned, looked into Ryder's clear eyes, and said slightly exaggeratedly, "Thank you, you saved my night."
Ryder chuckled.
After a slight pause, Ryder hesitated, but finally asked, "I have a question, have you ever been depressed?"
Levi opened his eyes wide and doubted his ears, "God, a spoiler warning."
Ryder was a little shy and looked away, "You don't need to issue a disappointing warning. I'm just curious."
Levi, "Are you curious about the mental health of professional players, or are you curious about whether another stranger has experienced a certain confusing stage in life?"
Ryder thought about it seriously, "The latter."
Levi gently raised his chin to make it clear, "I think contemporary people have gone through this stage to a greater or lesser extent. Everyone is more or less depressed. I also live in this era, so I am no exception."
Ryder, "Wow, spoiler alert."
ha.
Levi laughed happily.
Ryder regained his seriousness, "Was it before entering the rugby world?"
Levi nodded, "Yes, before. This is one of the reasons why I like competitive sports, or sports. It gives you a goal, a goal that you can see and accomplish. You concentrate 100% and touch it little by little. Break through a little bit, focus on yourself, and put aside those chaotic thoughts for the time being.”
"During those times, the brain goes quiet."
Ryder didn't speak, just stared at Levi quietly and deeply.
Levi looked a little reserved and chuckled, "Isn't this the conversation you expected to have with the Super Bowl champion?"
Ryder nodded slightly, "They usually walk in directly, lift their chin, and then expect the girls to lift their tops and pull them into the bathroom."
Levi's eyes widened, "Oh, God, what the hell is going on in your restaurant?"
"Haha, hahaha." Ryder laughed heartily, his eyes full of mischief.
