Remarks at the end of the volume, and a day off
Hello everyone, this is your loyal author friend, Beichuan Nanhai.
Ah... the beginning seems so familiar.
The first volume of "Poetry of Food" finally ended with 350,000, and it is expected to have seven volumes of content, about three million words.
In general, because it is the first time I write about a fantasy theme, there are some flaws, but at least it expresses what I want to express.
Just like the last words of the volume, "Whoever ignites lightning will be wandering like clouds for a long time."
This volume actually tells the story of Yeats from being homeless to having a place to live.
But settling down and establishing a life is only the beginning. Yeats's next step should be to "ignite lightning", to make achievements, and to be involved in a larger whirlpool.
Review this volume.
It takes surviving the cold wave as the main line, adds elements of food, pets, farming, and poetry, and revolves around Yeats's PY transactions with the major gods.
This is also the origin of the title of the book, "Food", a poem dedicated to the gods with delicious food, a fantasy story of heroes and epic myths.
Some parts of the first volume were written in a hurry, such as the beast tide part. The experience Beichuan learned from this is to be patient.
For online works of three to four million words, every time I start a book, it is like a marathon. It has come and gone, and I have to keep running.
As for the characters, the emotional drama of the heroine is really weak, but the troll Ogg and Phocas are characters that Kitagawa wrote relatively satisfactorily.
At present, the novel is still at a stage where the world view has not yet been fully developed.
In the framework envisioned by Kitagawa, it is a story about the conflict between polytheism and monotheism.
The apostle introduced at the end of the volume can also be regarded as a classic villain in Western fantasy novels. In the follow-up, there will be the underworld, the kingdom of fog, the kingdom of elves, the kingdom of giants...it is derived from the nine worlds in Nordic mythology, and the human world "Atrium" is the Atrium continent in the story.
As for the power system... Actually, this is not a serious upgrade article.
As mentioned in the introduction, Yeats had top-notch cooking talent, which had a magic potion-like effect in the text.
Everyone sees it as "Others kill monsters and level up, and I just eat, eat, eat, eat, level up, and PY to level up." (Fog)
Digression.
Beichuan actually likes the image of ‘flame’.
For example, in Norse mythology, the flame giant Surtur used a flaming sword to burn down the world in Ragnarok, and then a new world was born from the ashes.
For Beichuan, this is full of heroic beauty, and there is a beauty of being born toward death.
But everyone should be able to see that the tone of this book is relaxed, which is also Kitagawa's long-standing creative style.
Beichuan is learning how to remain relaxed while putting Yeats in a difficult situation - an animal without natural enemies is a pool of stagnant water, and a protagonist without conflict will be sluggish.
After killing a very powerful enemy, the protagonist with blood on his face must return home, lie down next to the refrigerator, take out a can of Coke and open it, then such a victory will be sweet...probably. This feeling.
Anyway.
The title of the next volume is "Dance!" dance! dance! 》.
After the wanderings of winter are over, the dance of the spring witches comes in May.
For the readers who have seen this, thank you for your subscription, tips, votes, support and love.
Take a day off, beat the outline, and resume updating on May 3rd. (The map of Yan State is here, Hun Dan.)
Thanks again! The second volume, Tangtang serialization!
