Chapter 255 "Western Development"

Chapter 255 "Western Development"

Qiongzhou, thank you city.

Lin Wenyi, head of the Thanksgiving Municipal Office of the Qiongzhou Branch of Hailufeng Company, was taking Zhang Xincheng and others to inspect the local self-operated farm.

This is Datian Town, which belongs to hilly and terrace terrain. Therefore, Hailufeng Company contracted 8,600 acres of mountain land locally for planting durian.

In the durian farm, in addition to the new technology durian, there are also grasses such as alfalfa, white-flowered clover, etc. grown in the under-forest space.

However, the growth of these durians and forage grass was not good at this time.

Lin Wenyi explained with a wry smile: "Mr. Zhang, it's not that we are not managing well, but that the city is grateful for the prone to droughts in winter and spring every year, especially in recent years, extreme weather has occurred frequently. For example, in last winter and spring, the local area experienced a drought of up to 119 days."

Zhang Xincheng is not the kind of person who is looking for trouble for nothing. After all, this weather is sometimes not something that human resources can interfere with, and this time he came here to solve the local water use problem.

"Where did you do what you told you half a month ago?"

"It has been done. We have negotiated the terms of cooperation with the local government. They agreed to our water use adjustment plan. We have also acquired 5 factories along the coast and are now undergoing renovation."

"Very good." Zhang Xincheng was very satisfied with the progress of the work here.

The so-called water adjustment plan is that Hailufeng Company invests in the construction of a seawater desalination factory and sells pure water at a low price to the Grace Plain of Grace City. In the upstream mountainous areas such as Datian Town can draw water from nearby reservoirs in a certain proportion for industrial and agricultural production.

In this way, the problem of water transfer from coastal to the inland can be reduced, and the water use of mainland agricultural industry can be solved.

Lin Wenyi carefully introduced the locations of the five factories to him: "...The current locations of the five seawater desalination factories are Haiwei Town, Duntou Town, Xinlong Town, Gancheng Town, and Pucun Town."

"According to the company's requirements, each of the sites we purchased can meet the standard of 50 million cubic meters of water supply to the surrounding area every year."

Zhang Xincheng observed the layout on the map, and then shook his head: "It's not enough, the density must be increased to 10. Among them, the annual production capacity of the seawater desalination factories in Haiwei Town and Duntou Town near the Gratitude Plain must reach the standard of 100 million cubic meters." "Okay, Mr. Zhang, I will arrange the implementation immediately after I go back." Lin Wenyi knew that his people were slight, and as long as they implemented the tasks assigned by their superiors, it was actually irrelevant whether the project could make a profit. Anyway, the sky fell, and there were still tall people holding on.

There is naturally no pressure to make a profit.

Although the annual precipitation in western Qiongzhou can reach 1750 mm, the problem is that local precipitation is seasonal precipitation, concentrated in summer, and overlaps with the high incidence of typhoons.

In addition, the terrain of Qiongzhou is not conducive to precipitation storage. If it weren't for the continuous construction of water conservancy projects in recent decades, the lack of water in winter and spring would have been even worse.

Although the local area has built Shilu Reservoir, Daguangba Reservoir, Tangong Reservoir, Gaopoling Reservoir, Tuoxing Reservoir, Changmao Reservoir, Da'an Reservoir, Shimen Reservoir and Sanqugou Reservoir, there is still no way to completely alleviate the local water use in the dry season.

Especially agricultural production as a water-using head.

At present, many local farms adopt a relatively traditional flooding model, and the cost of using precision-controlled drip irrigation is too high, which is not a cost-effective investment for many farmers.

A large part of the mountain durians of Hailufeng Company adopts drip irrigation model.

Many of the durian growers who are locally cooperating with Hailufeng Company also use drip irrigation to reduce water use and avoid subsequent water use problems under the influence of drought.

Zhang Xincheng visited the Durian Farm in Datian Town for more than two hours, and then rushed to Sanjia Town without stopping.

Sanjia Town is located in the center of the Gratitude Plain and is also a local rice and fruit-growing town.

To the west of Sanjia Town, near the Changhua River, there is a factory acquired by Hailufeng Company, which was transformed into a paper mill and a wire drawing factory.

Because nearly 76,000 acres of microphone bananas are currently planted in the Grass Plain, a large amount of abaca is produced every year. During the production process of abaca, not all abaca can be used as textiles. Some fibers do not meet the standards or process losses will produce about 10% to 20% of defective fibers.

This defective fiber can be used in papermaking.

Moreover, it is also a rice planting area, and rice straw can also be used for papermaking.

Sanjia Town Paper Mill is a subsidiary of Qiongzhou Textile Group and a subsidiary of Hailufeng Company.

When Zhang Xincheng arrived at this factory, they did not receive any relevant notices. This is also the internal management model of Hailufeng Company. Generally, the management team will temporarily notify the factory only when they arrive on the site, and the factory or farm will not be given time to prepare in advance.

As soon as he arrived, Zhang Xincheng frowned: "Although it is two or three kilometers away from the residential area, the smell is obviously not handled well and needs to be rectified."

Lin Wenyi, who was on the side, did not speak because he belonged to the company's direct-government system and was separated from Qiongzhou Textile Group several levels, so it was not his turn to worry about this kind of thing.

The factory director Miao Dong'an, who had just come out to greet him, looked a little nervous: "Mr. Zhang, we will make rectifications as soon as possible."

Still, Zhang Xincheng did not take it lightly: and directly scolded: "How did your management do it? What about the workers' gas masks and safety helmets?"

"The temperature and humidity of the factory are too high, and the workers feel uncomfortable wearing gas masks and safety helmets." Miao Dong'an replied with a tough forehead. "Can't the factory install air conditioners? This is the safety production standard requirement stipulated by the company. Don't be careless here. If something happens, will you be responsible?" Zhang Xincheng said angrily.

"Yes, we will make rectifications immediately."

"There are also the management of stacking raw materials. The scene looks messy. How did you manage it?" Zhang Xincheng scolded him.

The management of the Sanjia Town Paper Mill is silent.

After just a few minutes, he discovered so many problems. Although Zhang Xincheng knew that this was the sequelae of the company's large-scale expansion in the short term, he was really angry about the management capabilities of some middle-level management.

I scolded people and ordered them to make corrections quickly.

Zhang Xincheng came to the factory's production workshop to inspect the operation of the new equipment.

The paper industry has been under pressure from environmental protection over the years, and many papermaking companies have changed to import pulp from abroad to cope with environmental protection reviews.

This paper mill only started trial production in October this year, last month. Since there has not been formal production, the environmental protection equipment has not been fully in place.

There are more than a dozen sewage storage tanks and sedimentation tanks on the south side of the factory. The wastewater coming out of the production workshop will enter these tanks.

Because it is in the trial production stage, there is not much wastewater in the wastewater pool, but it smells foul.

Zhang Xincheng and others looked at the pools in front of them with gas masks, safety helmets, and life jackets.

"What is the volume of these pools?"

"The total is 150,000 cubic meters, with an area of 15,000 square meters, and the depth of the pool is 10 meters."

Zhang Xincheng frowned: "This factory produces 100,000 tons of pulp every year, right?"

"Yes."

Before Zhang Xincheng came, he asked his assistant to collect relevant information, which was also the reason why he frowned: "At least 20 million cubic meters of water is needed for 100,000 tons of pulp. Even if it is circulating water, it will consume two or three million cubic meters of fresh water every year. The original design plan of these sewage tanks is definitely not enough."

Miao Dongan stood awkwardly: "It's not enough."

Although these sewage tanks have a volume of 150,000 cubic meters, traditional sewage treatment is not that fast. It requires physical precipitation, chemical precipitation, chemical neutralization, activated carbon filtration, etc. After a set of processes, only a small part can be processed every day.

Zhang Xincheng looked at Miaodongan with a meaningful look. If this guy is not good at management, he will not say anything. He also likes to be perfunctory and cannot let him continue to manage the factory, otherwise something will happen sooner or later.

The original sewage tank and wastewater treatment system were not enough, and they didn't report it to report, so they just did it here. This is not a problem of poor management level, but a problem of work attitude.

However, he did not have an attack immediately. After all, it was not appropriate to deal with it directly. He still asked the Supervision Department to send someone to check the situation of Qiongzhou Textile Group.

Miao Dongan had not noticed the seriousness of the matter yet, so he quickly changed the topic: "The new equipment is very easy to use, and can handle 150,000 cubic meters of sewage every day. The current water recycling rate of our factory can reach about 80%. "

Hearing this water recycling rate, Zhang Xincheng felt dissatisfied again.

You should know that using Minqin Group's water purification equipment, unless the thermal power plant needs to use cooling water to cool down, resulting in part of the water being discharged in the form of water vapor, otherwise the water recycling rate is less than 90% of the water, which is unreasonable system design or poor management.

Zhang Xincheng looked at it for a while and found several problems.

The first problem is that the sewage pool and purifier pool are completely open, and a lot of water is naturally evaporated.

The second question is that sewage pools are not classified and managed. He, an outsider, knows that paper mill sewage is divided into three types, and the components are different. If mixed together, it will increase the difficulty of subsequent treatment of sludge. The third problem is that the water in the sludge is not fully pressed. He saw that the sludge pumped from the bottom of the sewage pool has a considerable moisture content. After all, it can be sucked with mud pumping equipment, and the moisture content of the sludge is definitely not low.

For a paper mill, water cost is very critical.

You should know that even if you use a relatively good process, the water consumption per ton of pulp is about 100 cubic meters. Some old factories with poor craftsmanship even need to use 300 cubic meters of fresh water per ton of pulp.

Don’t think that using circulating water can reduce the cost. In fact, the cost will not drop much, because circulating water requires treatment costs.

According to the most common process in China, the pulp of wood and bamboo materials, each ton of water is about 100 cubic meters. Calculated at 3 yuan per cubic meter of industrial water, the water cost is 300 yuan.

Sanjia Town Paper Mill uses rice straw and abaca as raw materials, and the water consumption will reach about 300 cubic meters per ton of pulp.

If the water recycling rate is only 80%, then 60 cubic meters of fresh water will still be consumed per ton of pulp, which is still too high.

At least, it is necessary to ensure that the water recycling rate can reach 95% in order to minimize the cost of water use.

Zhang Xincheng did not point out the problem directly, but asked: "Director Miao, do you think this water recycling rate has the potential to improve?"

"Uh? This is difficult, and the investment cost is too high, so it's better not to change it." Miao Dongan shook his head. "I understand, let's do it!" Zhang Xincheng felt more and more that he would remove this guy from his position as soon as possible.

No mistakes, one poem, one post, one content, one in 6, one book, one bar, one read!

Nothing at all. With this level of management, he doubted whether this guy came in through the back door.

Even if you don’t know how to innovate, can’t you copy homework?

There are so many factories under Hailufeng Company, and there are living templates that can’t copy homework. It’s hopeless.

Photovoltaic panel roofs can be laid above the sewage pool and water purification pool of the factory, which not only reduces water surface evaporation, but also obtains the electrical energy of photovoltaic power generation.

How much does a set of sludge pressing equipment cost?

I can't even settle the accounts.

What's more, the subsequent treatment of sludge requires transportation to so many factories for treatment. The greater the moisture content, the more the cost during transportation.

It can only be said that this person is not a qualified manager.

If you have a little brain, you can come up with a set of improvement plans after looking at other factories of the company.

The water recycling rate has increased by 1%, and the market cost per ton of pulp has been reduced by 8.9 yuan.

Elevating the water recycling rate to 95%, reducing the cost expenditure of 133.5 yuan per ton of pulp.

Zhang Xincheng left Sanjia Town Paper Factory with anger.

Lin Wenyi, who was accompanying him, also saw that Zhang Xincheng was very angry, but it was not his own. He adhered to the attitude of losing more words and remained silent throughout the whole process.

The convoy arrived at Duntou Town.

Duntou Town seawater desalination factory is right by the sea. It turned out to be a aquaculture farm. After it was acquired, it is currently being renovated.

On the road near the station, you can see the progress of part of the renovation of the seawater desalination factory. Zhang Xincheng took a look and did not walk in.

As for construction quality management, he was not too worried, because the third-party company responsible for acceptance work and the company's internal engineering acceptance office basically had no possibility of making up for the simplification.

He said lightly: "Salt after seawater desalination is a problem!"

This issue is actually being discussed within the company.

After all, each cubic meter of seawater contains about 35 kilograms of various types of inorganic salts. In the future, the seawater desalination plant in Duntou Town plans to produce 100 million cubic meters of fresh water every year, which means that at least 3.5 million tons of salt will be generated each year.

The entire city of Grasseng has 10 seawater desalination plants, producing a total of 600 million cubic meters of fresh water each year, producing about 21 million tons of salt.

It seems that it is only 21 million tons. Domestic chemicals, food processing, edible salt, chemical fertilizers and potassium salt can completely eat 21 million tons of coarse salt.

However, this idea is destined to be impossible to achieve.

Because in the future, where seawater desalination factories are arranged in coastal areas, there will definitely be more than just Qiongzhou Gratitude City, especially the Bohai Rim region headed by Beijing. The fresh water required every year is calculated at tens of billions of dollars, and hundreds of millions of tons of coarse salt will be generated every year.

Such a large scale of coarse salt is definitely not able to be fully utilized.

No matter it is edible salt, chemical salt, or chemical fertilizer and potassium salt, it cannot consume so much production capacity.

Therefore, only a small part of so much coarse salt will be acquired by chemical companies, and the remaining coarse salt will either be discharged back into the ocean or be buried in an abandoned mine.

Shipping the sea directly has some risks.

Because a large amount of coarse salt can quickly increase the salinity of seawater in nearby waters, the surrounding marine organisms will inevitably be seriously affected, and in severe cases, large-scale deaths may even occur.

The death of marine life is only a small problem.

The real big problem is that the increase in salinity in local sea areas will lead to changes in seawater movement. The dynamic mechanism of sea currents is mainly affected by salinity and temperature.

And the currents are related to the climate.

So a small amount of coarse salt is discharged from the sea, and the ocean can also be adjusted by its huge size. However, hundreds of millions of tons of coarse salt are discharged into the sea a year, and the consequences are definitely a huge ecological and climate disaster.

Especially the future seawater desalination region: Bohai Sea.

The Bohai Sea is a semi-enclosed inland sea, with a long water exchange period, which takes about 30 years. A large amount of salt input will lead to a significant increase in overall salinity.

If the total water volume of Bohai Sea is estimated to be about 1.7 trillion cubic meters, the 200 million tons of salt emissions are equivalent to an increase of about 1.2‰ per year, and the long-term accumulation is far beyond the marine biological tolerance threshold.

The high salinity water body has a high density, which may form vertical stratification, hinder the exchange of oxygen and nutrients in the upper and lower layers, aggravate the hypoxia of the underlying layer, and lead to the expansion of the "death zone".

Although the Bohai Sea can exchange seawater with the Pacific Ocean to dilute part of the salinity, the problem is that the Qilu region of the Yellow Sea in the future is also the main force of seawater desalination, which will also increase the salinity of the Yellow Sea, from the time when the Bohai Sea, which is blocked by the Yellow Sea, communicates with the Pacific water bodies for a longer time.

So it is absolutely a matter of harming others and not benefiting oneself.

Buried on the spot has become an inevitable choice.

But burying it on the spot is not without any hidden dangers.

Because underground abandoned mining areas often have groundwater, if a large amount of coarse salt is filled in, once it comes into contact with the groundwater, it is easy to cause the surrounding groundwater to turn into saltwater, resulting in large-scale salinization of the surrounding land, which is also very serious.

A safe and sealed storage system must be built to ensure that the coarse salt will not leak into the surrounding environment.

This is a considerable investment.

In fact, if the coastal water consumption increases on a large scale after seawater desalination in the future, resulting in an increase in freshwater discharged by rivers into the ocean, you can also consider discharging a portion of coarse salt into the ocean to maintain the salinity balance of the ocean.

However, such things need to be simulated through supercomputing, and many professional scientists and countries around the world work together to establish a global ocean and climate dynamic monitoring system to carry out salt discharge operations. Otherwise, it is better not to try it casually, so as not to cause irreparable consequences.

Zhang Xincheng is doing industrial inspection and layout work in the Thanksgiving city.

The results of the additional election of academicians of Jiang Miao and Lin Shuya were also officially announced on November 21.

Although many people on the Internet have guessed that Jiang Miao would win an academician, many people have unexpectedly expected that Lin Shuya would also win an academician together this year.

But when the results were announced, many people calmed down and thought it was reasonable.

After all, the technology of sponge batteries is not much worse than that of fairy beans and soybeans. This technology has profoundly changed the domestic and even the global battery and new energy industry structure, and is indeed qualified to be an academician.

At the same time, the popularity of online discussions also surged.

It is not only the domestic Internet that is discussing, but the foreign Internet is also talking about it.
