As the accumulation of irrigation water, these water vapor will increase, reaching the humidity inside the greenhouse. In order to avoid root rot, white mold and other diseases caused by high-humidity environment, the greenhouse can only be ventilated and air-conditioned to discharge high-humidity indoor gas.

This is the fundamental reason why only 4 to 6 tons of radish were harvested and about 1 ton of leaves were consumed, but 80 to 120 cubic meters of fresh water was consumed.

Another advantage is that by harvesting the root blocks of fairy beans and soybeans, and then using room temperature drying technology, the water from the root blocks is extracted, the organic matter from the root blocks is pulled away to generate electricity and generate biogas, and the water is reused as greenhouse irrigation water.

In this way, nearly 40 to 50 cubic meters of fresh water can be recycled every year during the planting process of two acres of greenhouses.

This can further enhance the agricultural potential of the Northwest region.

As for why we don’t harvest open-air clay beans and soybean root pieces and squeeze water from them to use.

The reason is naturally that the growth needs of perennial soybeans are taken into account.

After all, open-air soybeans grown in the arid desert areas of the northwest need to realize their perennial capacity through the water resources stored by root blocks.

The leaves of the soybean soybean are in the open-air northwest desert environment, and the moisture that can be absorbed at night is relatively limited. Therefore, once the root block is harvested, the soybean soybeans that are replanted next year need to be pumped for groundwater to water, and the growth cycle and the first year of production will decrease.

Therefore, harvesting underground water storage roots of fairy beans and soybeans is an act that is not worth the loss in open-air desert areas.

This is different from the planting inside the greenhouse.

The inside of the greenhouse is because the water evaporates too much and is bound to the inside, so a special plant pump is needed to plant fairy beans and soybeans to achieve balance.

As for the water refining in this way, will it lead to the cost of water use too high?

Because the harvested soybean root blocks contain 5% organic matter and minerals, they can be used as raw materials for power generation and organic fertilizer. This part of the income can cover the cost of harvesting the root blocks, and water is equivalent to a by-product.

Just like extracting moisture from vegetables and fruits, it is a by-product of dry vegetables and fruits. Since it is a by-product, its production cost is covered by the main products produced by the process.
